Trout sniping with the southpaw 1-2 and then moving counter-clockwise, letting his arms sag low, chin down, melting into a slouching puddle to make Dávila miss all his lunging shots coming in and then piercing him with right jabs, further softening up the mouse forming on Dávila's right cheek. Only a few wild swings at the body really got through for Dávila.

    99-91 Trout

Trout looked ...old as hell, if we're being completely honest. Still enough of the old magic left to comfortably outclass a limited opponent (and one that couldn't be more suitable: come-forward and feather-fisted), but I don't want to see No Dout working his way into contention again. He will get hurt.

IB funfact: I happen to be sitting ten feet away from the ledge I sat on 2¼ years ago to do the RBR for Austin Trout vs. Terrell Gausha, when the last vestiges of his true world class ability seemed to drain off.
