I was just wondering how do you other brit posters adjust your sleep patterns to allow you to watch the big fights from the US and still get enough sleep and turn up on Monday morning. What i tend to do is stay up late on a friday night and sleep through most of the day, then wake up late Saturday and stay awake until Sunday evening. What about you lot?
I usuallt dont change sleep patterns. I just try to stay awake for as long as I can because I know when main fight starts I wide awake. This is not recommended as I usually fall asleep and miss a good under card fight but I watch with a few mates who wake me as soon as a good fight is on. Then I sleep through Sunday and takes a few days for sleep pattern to re-adjust
Im just gonna have to suffer 1 day of work where im really tired, have to be up at 6 on monday and Im not looking foward to it.
Why not just set the alarm for 3am,watch fight, then go back to bed? There's always a morning rerun if alarm just go off, and you can still watch without knowing the result
Because 'live' is better. i plan to set the alarm clock tonight, but thats a bit boring, might go to a pub or a club and when we get kicked out stumble home in time for the fight...
Depends.. If I'm out on the Saturday I will try and make it back by 3AM or whenever the fight kicks off. If I'm in I just suffer it and stay up and watch the fight. I'm a nightowl anyway so it's really no problem.
I went out last night. Got home at 4 but it took me ages to sleep. That has adjusted my body clock so tonight I can push through into the night. On Sunday I'll have to force myself to get to sleep at 12ish so I can wake up at 6.49!
You're a warrior. I have to do similiar things because my work schedule is on different hours, it can be taxing on the mind.
I stopped doing this late night staying up and just watch the repeats the next day. Hate staying up long than half 2 In the morning. I'd do It for Calzaghe though.
in my younger hardcore days i'd rely on substance-abuse. now being a clean-living family man, i'll have an early night and get up around 1:30am to watch some of the undercard and be properly hyped for the main event.
