There’s no way Fowler was winning the fight until the knockdown, the judges were very biased towards Fowler that doesn’t mean he was actually winning. It seems as though people have started to forget this and go off the dodgy cards.

Fowler - Cheeseman needs to come first for either of them to deserve the rematch

Rather see Cheeseman vs Fitzgerald again. Cheeseman deserves the rematch more than Fowler in my opinion.

Just don’t understand the logic to this at all, like the majority have said surely it should be Fowler vs Cheeseman and the winner gets a shot at a rematch with Fitz? No one seems to like Fowler, he’s irritating and rubs everyone up the wrong way in comparison Fitzgerald has a cult following all ready and could potentially be a big star in British boxing yet Eddie seems so reluctant to push it.. bizarre

Thought Fitzy lost to both but Fowler fight could have gone either way, Cheese absolutely schooled him though.

Pretty disgusting if Cheese doesn't get the rematch, the board should demand it really Cheese was the champ after all.

Cheese is easily the most skilled of the 3, but one thing is for sure none are anywhere near World level

Garcia is just at world level and would beat all 3 at the same time, probably with only his bad arm.

These 3 are further away from world level than Liam Williams ffs

I’m totally perplexed why Hearn obviously thinks Fowler has commercial potential. People just don’t like him much. He’s horribly insecure and people have picked up on it.

Fitzgerald is far more likeable In my eyes and it’s not even close.

He seems to have a good following too

Its weird, maybe he just rates Fowler higher being an Olympian

You don’t have to be liked. Tony Bellew was/is universally hated.

Fowler beats Fitz by decision in a rematch in my view. He wasnt prepared for war the first time and underestimated Fitz.

I am actually a fan of Fowler. He gets a lot of unfair stick from fans.

Not sure about that as if Fitz beats Fowler at Deepdale. Hearn has another star on his hands in Fitz.

I think he sees Fowler as the more professional fighter as Fitz has been guilty of not training properly and having a questionable mindset in the past. However make no bones about it. If Fitz beats Fowler again he will be given the Ritson treatment by Hearn and Fowler will be our to the back of the queue.

I don’t think Hearn sees too much loyalty to either at this time but the rematch commercially is a big fighter up north than either fighting Cheeseman. Who is not the most marketable of fighters.

whoever wins you can guarantee Matchroom will be looking to put into Sky headlines on a regular basis. My guess is winner goes for European once the Garcia vacates or figures someone like Spike O Sullivan or lejarraga

To an extent, but I think Bellew (although annoying) wasn’t as universally disliked as Fowler. He had support in Liverpool and I think people enjoyed his fights towards the end of his career.

I don’t feel Fowler has much support even in Liverpool. I remember his entrance vs Fitzgerald IN Liverpool where he played ‘Freed from desire’ thinking people would sing his name.. barely anyone did and the whole thing felt a bit awkward.

Fowler on IFL after the MTK card in Liverpool saying that Fitzy has declined the rematch.

    So he should.

Make it later when it’s a much bigger fight.

    Fair play to Scott.

Look forward, not backwards. Your star is on an upwards trajectory.

Fight Rose in the North West Derby as was mooted before injury / the Cheeseman fight and then maybe look at The Commonwealth going the traditional route.

Fowler needs to bring something to the table 1st, like a major, for this level, scalp or 2. Cheeseman, Conway, Eggington. Fight one of these 3 Fowler.

    I doubt Fowler will though.
