Wait for mine to come out by the end of the year. It WILL be the most detailed ever written on him.

There's 'Ruby Robert' out there, very rare and expensive book though.

For those of you who have read these or others does one stand out as being the most complete read?

tbh reading prizefighter sheds light on fitz the man,as it tells some wonderful tales and incredible out of ring antics from the great man.i found these parts more entertaining than the fights covered.

I think you are making a huge mistake not waiting for my book, but if you insist, get The Fighting Blacksmith by Gilbert Odd.

I recomend Bob Fitzsimmons " His Life and Battles " by Richard K. Fox.

Richard Fox was a boxing fan editor and chief of the Police Gazette Magazine. Fox was quite familiar with Fitzsimmons. Indeed Fox saw the fighting blacksmith in the ring on more than one occasion. The Police Gazette Magazine was the red light magazine of its day which focused on police matters, wild-west outlaws, strippers, and boxing.
