    Shamelessly stolen from Sherdog.

    Make five bold predictions about the MMA world in 2010. We can bump this thread in a years time to see if we have a Nostradamus among us.


    My five.

    1. Three of the current UFC title holders (Penn, GSP, Silva, Machida and Lesnar) will lose their belts.

    2. Dan Henderson will go 1-2 in Strikeforce.

    3. Bantamweight and Featherweight divisions will be added to the UFC.

    4. Georges St. Pierre will fight at 185lbs.

    5. Lesnar-Mir III will headline the best selling PPV of the year. Lesnar wins and Mir goes crazy.

    I am going to agree with 3. The strikeforce, Dream, Sengkoku FW division is so exiting the UFC have to do something.

    1. Vitor Belfort will defeat Anderson Silva.

    2. Gegard Mousasi will end 2010 as the number 1 ranked 205er and a top 5 p4p guy.

    3. Urijah Faber will regain the WEC Featherweight Championship.

    4. Wanderlei Silva, Jens Pulver and Chuck Liddell will have minor successful comebacks.

    5. BJ Penn will return to 170 pounds.

    Terribly unrelated and I am sorry. But what would it take for this ******ed forum community to have an MMA forum the size near Sherdog. I like MMA to a degree but all of Sherdog seems like the ESB general forum and its too much for me to handle.

    The UFC will lose more fighters to strikeforce. The UFC will then be more open to cross promotions

    1. At least 2 of the these fighters (Machida, A.Silva, Mousasi and Fedor) will lose a fight.
    2. Jose Aldo will not lose a fight this year.
    3. Miguel Torres will regain the WEC Bantamweight title.
    4. MMA will finally get sanctioned in New York.
    5. At least 1 of the following will happen, James Thompson will win a fight/Gomi will beat Florian.

    Just to be clear when you say "best selling PPV" you are talking about MMA PPVs only, right?

    Cross promotions is what I would love to see!! I doubt that 2010 is the year for it, though I would love to be proved wrong!!!!

    I like the look of these!! 1,2 & 3 look good and 4 is an odd-on chance imo. As for 5, well that's guaranteed!:).
