this is indeed a classic, this was Margaritos last good performance. I wonder why he could not dominate like this again hahahahahah

Wasn't even the best fight that year.

It was a hell of a battle, and the career defining moment for both men. Far more infamous than famous, this is a big piece of modern boxing history.

Cotto went on to face the two greatest fighters of this era. There will always be questions about how much this took out of him. He hung tough with Pac for a few rounds and Mayweather most of the fight. Would he have been just a tad bit better without this fight?

Give it time and it will surely be regarded as a classic. Fantastic fight even if there are potentially dodgy circumstances surrounding it.

It's allure has been significantly damaged since the cheating came out. At the time it was a classic. Now it is a sham and a disgrace.

Are we 100% sure he loaded his gloves for Cotto? I am willing to accept that he tried it against Shane, but that doesn't automatically mean he tried it in Nevada, where they are substantially more strict than in California, where he fought Moseley.

Speculation aside, it was a great fight that changed the landscape of the WW division at the time. I have to agree that this fight is a classic.

BLOCKS??????????????????????? You are an uneducated idiot. All that was in Tony Margarito's wraps was a harmless used gauze pad, Which the CSAC claimed to have "MISLAID" when asked to produce it

Nazim Richardson is nothing more than a pile of bovine excrement. He is a blatant LIAR. No blocks were ever found, All there was was a harmless used gauze pad which was examined in a lab and found to be totally HARMLESS!!!!!!!!! The CSAC had conveniently "MISLAID " the pad when asked to produce it
Richardson with his blatant lies effectively destroyed Tony Margarito's career due to the enforced 2 yr ban. While this façade was being played out Steroid Shane Mosely was beiung slipped through roided to the hilt. You only have to look at his performances in fights to see that .They couldn't beat Tony Margarito legally & legitimately they had to railroad him:patsch

If Tito was mexican and Margarito puerto rican, it would've been the other way around.

    Typical biased bull****.

Harmless huh? How come Margarito's power completely disappeared at this very fight, whereas immediately before he was the most heavy-handed welterweight in the world? You're clearly blinded by your love of the one-eyed bandit, but nevertheless, please explain.
