Fix David Price...

I'd like to see him continue working with Lennox...you can say Lennox seems to have added nothing but I don't think so...more time and more camps with Lennox and slowly lessons would sink in and become an integral part of his game. His chin didn't look that bad to me - he's still young enough to rebuild. Make his jab his main asset. We know his right hand is lethal...but you can't rely on just that. He carries on with Lennox and I think many of the things Emmanuel taught Lewis would be starting to show in Price. Look at Wlad...!!! Lots more jabbing and more stamina, and learn to tie up when someone dangerous hurts you or is closing the distance when your best game is mid/long range.

 

Any new skills learned at this stage will only become apparent in fights where he is bossing it. As soon as he's under pressure he drops his tool box and reverts to type. No movement, no work rate, doesn't look at opponent, fails to hold and has a poor engine. Too much learning to be done for significant steps forward.

 

You've got to ask how do you go from Audley and Matt Skelton to a legit top 10/12 contender????????? Jumping through like 3 levels?? Bad career planning to me......

 

He never should have been rematched immediately after getting knocked out. Especially against a wily vet like Thompson. TT found his flaws and went right back at them.

And changing trainers was no help. Should've had a tune up fight with Lewis first to fix his glaring lack of inside fighting skills.

Fixing a guy who gets knocked out twice in a row just turned a problem into a huge problem.

 

To be fair, Price would knock Wilder out.

Stick Wilder in with Thompson and see what happens, overrated is an understatement.

 

Watch the fight again he could not use his jab because Tony Thompson did not allow him to Round one Thompson was picking and tieing up Prices jab they where almost holding hands at one point

I would like to see price trained by Adam Booth Price already friends with Haye Both would benefit from sparing the other

 

Nah, he just doesn't throw it.

He paws and waits for an opening then throws big right hands, most of which miss, then he inevitably tires.
