pac vs. shane was fixed!! Shane did nothing the whole fight but touch gloves and give half hearted clinches....
Sure. Maybe not at the 2nd tier, but once a guy is a solid prospect and fighting bums? I think it happens. Also maybe at the top level for certain guys. Pac/Clottey was fixed.
First off i've been watching boxing for a long time And look at that knockdown again mosley tripped over pacs foot and pac didnt even hit him flush...So thats one big crock of **** watch mosley vs. mora and mosley vs. mayweather and see what an aggressive shane fighting fighters that get him stuck (where he can't get off) does in the clinch and in the fight in general.... Its nothing like sat. nights bull****.. all he did was tap gloves and hug literally (no aggression in the clinch nothing)....
:rofl I love it!! Desperation is some heavy **** bro, but that was a flush shot to Shane's ear...clearly ****ed his equilibrium up and earned repsect for PACs power, which had him running the rest of the night. Fear is a very strong emotion...it can make the best turn into a shell of their former selves. It can even cause the most confident of boxers to duck and avoid real challenges.
Are you f'ing kidding? Boxing is so crooked and mobster-run that they don't even make a secret of it. Career criminal and ex-con Don King's ugly mug is stuck right in front of the camera at most of the biggest fights. At least the mobsters used to have the decency to stay in the shadows. Now they don't even give a ****. They fix fights all sorts of ways - crooked refs and judges, getting a fighter to not try so hard, and even more cruder ways like messing with gloves. Examples? The prearranged decision in Haye-Valuev. Most obvious fixed fight? Another Haye thing vs. Harrison.
Ali / Liston II. It was noted back then that Liston owed some money to the mob. No proof, but a whole lot of speculation went on considering how Liston lost. A lot of ringsiders said that the so called "phantom punch" should not have been enough to stop Liston.
