Facts hold up in court of law, much alleged by Ipay wouldn't get the time of day in one after brief observation. He knows how to get you guys riled up though for someone who really doesn't know boxing at all.

Several of us here at Eastside have caught this joker over and again making absolute statements he made up on the spot, when we have confronted him with his huge errors in quotes and post numbers he has repeatedly wiggled his way out by denying, changing, saying he answered already, etc. You can't go by one thing Ipay says about anything related to boxing.

    Re the fix:

Also, if u watch the weigh ins - spinks holds up the illuminati 666 hand sign (ok to u and me) twice dutring the weigh in - the first is a quick plash, but the second one, he holds up high, and he keeps it there for a looooong time, knowing - while still on the scale, mhe nwouldme seen. Very odd.

I have to say Bummy having lived through the Holmes era too, I think this is an excellent post, subject nailed by someone who was "there at the time" too.

Having lived through an era gives one an insight that isn't necessarily possible when looking back, you can't always get the "feel" of the time if you weren't there.

If there was a high level fixed fight at heavyweight in the 1980's I suspect it was Witherspoon vs Smith.

Regarding a fixed fight sometimes neither fighter is in on the fix. But Two judges were! If Holmes was in a fixed fight, you could say it was the re-match with Spinks. Terrible decision.
