Petrov is actually alright, not great but not that bad.

 

Magdaleno and Petrov are decent defences, fana and cruz are below par. I think with terry he fights to his opponents level. If linares beats crolla, I'd expect Flanagan/Crolla to be made. I'd imagine terry may fight verdejo at some point this year.

 

I agree, I think we all were and it's annoying as I do quite rate him. They tried to make the Crolla fight for him in fairness. Maybe that'll be an option again after he loses to Linares, but then I would have to moan as he's just lost two title shots.

 

Didnt realise this Petrov fella had such a high ranking. I'd accept the Magdaleno and Matthews defences but the Cruz and Fana ones were a waste of time.

Eddie Hearn has said the winner of Crolla/Linares will fight the winner of Zlaticanin/Garcia.

 

Firstly hearn is only crollas promoter so he cant really call any shots on behalf of zlaticanin garcia or linares. What hearn says is irrelevant in this situation.

Secondly, sadly I cant see crolla winning. And in that scenario the biggest fight for him would be flanagan.

 

So linares is fighting zlaticanin/Garcia winner. So nothing to do with Hearn.

 

He should fight Crolla in the Summer whatever belts both have- it's a great fight.

 

Hasn't been exciting but also has not put a foot wrong - deserves a big fight to prove himself.

Cant say I can call any brit lightweight a bore when the lonsdale belt is held by Cardle zzzzzzzzzzzz

Look at the seats that are left for his next fight. All the top tier (bar that one block) have been given to the fighters I think. If you look at the unavailable seats in the lower tier, they're all in perfect bunches so I'm guessing they've been given to fighters as well. So it looks like only a handful of tickets have been sold through the arena since Monday I think they went on sale.

Flanagan is a World Champ boxing in his home city!! Fair enough not against a household name, but still. Goes to show how powerful Sky are because Crolla would have sold many more in that time. Warren's boxers must be so relieved BT have came along to help.

 

The Linares/Crolla - Zlaticanin/Mikey winners fighting is an agreement with the WBC. Think Linares was their champ but couldn't defend in time due to injuries so they said the next Linares fight would have the "silver" title on the line. Could have been Zlaticanin-Linares after Linares-Crolla 1 but Linares elected to rematch and get paid so Zlat v Mikey got made with the understanding the two winners would meet next in a unification. Whether that happens or not is anyone's guess.
