Admitted I have not seen a lot of footage of Elorde. What I have seen really impressed me. Especially his battles with Saddler.

The dude was smooth, fast and good technical skills. His record was not stellar at 88-27-2 but he did hold several belts and some for a long time.

Elorde vs. Barrera. This would be a high caliber match. I don't know given Barrera's struggles with slick and fast fighters like Jones he might have a problem here. I imagine it would be close. Although Barrera's great body punching would take a toll on Elorde. Let me call it a draw.

Elorde vs. Morales. I think Morales would be a little too reckless. I believe the technical fighting skills were at a higher level in Elorde's era. As a result he could use his boxing skills to beat Morales by UD.

Elorde vs. JMM. Probably another real good match up. Could be JMM's inability to alter his style could hurt him here. I think Elorde could attack and move. JMM would rely too much on counterpunching this slick fighter like he did with Chris John. Elorde by SD. In a razor close fight.

Elorde vs. Hamed. Hamed would be too crude. Elorde would beat him soundly much like Barrera did.

Elorde vs. Pac. Pacs power too much here. I see Pac winning by UD. Maybe late stoppage.

    What do you all think?

He will be able to beat Hamed......simply because he was the better fighter, from a technical standpoint, and more proven........

Barrera, Morales, Pac and JMM ? I don´t think so......They were all better fighters than him, in my opinion.....

Beats all of them more often than not.Close fights all, except Hamed.

Elorde isn't too dissimilar to the Barrera, Marquez school of boxer-punchers, but i saw more versatility and finesse in him to go with the quality well-schooled offense.

The Pac that fought at featherweight wasn't quite as well-rounded as he became when he moved up in weight, and I think Elorde's greater technical skill at that weight would allow him to secure a close, hard fought decision. At 130lbs, featuring the Pacquiao that squeaked by JMM in the rematch it's a toss up- and probably a hell of a fight.

I've got Elorde defeating JMM, Morales, and Hamed, and Barerra is about 50/50.
