hahaha, what was funny to me is that even though they trash talked a ton it seemed like they liked each other- like two boys talkin **** while playin ball.
Yeah it seemed good-natured rather than hateful. Naz was even saying stuff like "it's all hype, say anything you want, we respect each other"
God I miss naz. Boxing needs a lively guy like him, he brought them bombs too.. he put it on the line. :smoke
Wow this clip has convinced me to buy nas' career set however we have a guy like him but everyone hates him, but always buys his PPV fights his name is Money Mayweather.
Forget Naz, even KELLEY is a better 'speaker' than Floyd, hahah. "He got missiles...I got nitrogen bombs." This is one of my favourite fights, all-time. Even down to the ring entrance drama. Pure entertainment.
Try watching it with the sound off. Pathetic effort by Hamed in his so-called 'prime', getting dropped TWICE by a shopworn Kelley who was almost 31 and had more baggage than the airport carousel. Either man could have won smoothly that night if he'd just kept a cool head, but noooo, these two turkeys had to go to war, and while I love ring wars, it was a short one at that. I knew from that point on Hamed was a marked man. I think Barrera knew it too Good thing he priced himself out of a fight with Junior Jones. Even better that he took Barrera out of 'Morales vs Barrera', ****ing Morales would have massacred him down the stretch.
dropped? more a case off knocked off balance due to his style, when in Naz' career was he down past the count of 2? not a fan of Hagler/Hearns then?
The 2 seconds is testament to Hamed's chin, your ability to take a punch is something you're largely born with, and doesn't lend itself well to improvement much beyond your first few months in Boxing. Naz's other gift of the gob was widely overlooked by opponents hoping that a quick shot would prove he had a china chin, whereas it was anything but. H/H is no comparison mate, both Marv and Tom were pretty close to prime and they both fought smart, they were indeed both very high output fights, but imo that's where the similarity ends, as as both Naz and Kelley were sloppy in their respective defences.
