I don't know if it was hours, but after saying he couldn't get down to 14(whatever) Roach had told him before, he suddenly could make 140 when Cotto was being 'difficult' during negotiations. He was trying desperately to get a big payday and tried to butt into those negotiations and derail them with a better offer. That is kind of how I remember it and I really don't like to have to agree with BB so don't make me do this again. :D

In the REAL war behind the scenes between Pacquiao and Mayweather, Pacquiao is getting slaughtered.

    Anyone disagree?

I don't think he cares. He is about to move on from boxing anyhow. His money buys a lot more in his homeland. He is in a position to quit while he is ahead.

OK... But, I wasn't going with the whole "desperate" propaganda angle at the time, and it's still foreign to me. Honestly and objectively. Shane Mosley is a grown man. This was a clever way alot of people used to talk their way out of having to take him seriously. Team Pacquiao didn't want the matchup, and I doubt Shane's state of mind had anything to do with it. Like somebody else said; Freddie was quoted as having said Shane is "too good." I heard him say it myself. Seems pretty clear.

But he does. And he's lamented publicly that he cares.

Didn't Freddie tell Mosley "no," when Mosley went to his Wildcard Gym?

That is when Pac wasn't ready to fight at 147 and Mosely wasn't willing to fight below that weight.

Mosley must be too desperate for money or he's going crazy, I don't think anyone will disagree that there's no way in hell he would make 140 and going in physically strong or healthy.

He cares about the bad press. Not fighting Floyd.
