But IV's can be used to flush the system of other PED's which is why they are banned it's a method of masking PED use.

Plus Mayweather was always a gym rat and I don't think he ever came across as huge at the weight, so I don't buy the idea he was using it to simply rehydrate.

Steroids and 'modern nutrition' is one of the reasons it's so much easier to admire the old legends.

Eh its possible, but Floyd was using the IV at...38? He might also just have trouble rehydrating. That's normal too at that age

Danny Green humiliated Roy haha I felt bad for Roy at the time but in hindsight he got what he deserved. When you beat a legend you become a legend haha.
Also Antonio Tarver needed to be juiced to the gills to beat Danny Green.

It's not like they abstained from steroids out of moral and ethical objections, though. They didn't use it because it wasn't available. If Rocky Marciano and Joe Louis had access to TRT and EPO, you better believe they would have been using it. And, honestly, I'm not even sure how far back steroid use in sports really goes. We'll probably never get a full answer to that question.

Given proper circumstances no men can be said to be uncorruptable. There is a reason Jesus walking through the desert is an archetypical story—as in representing the highest, unrealized, idealized part of life.

Those men produced immense careers with much less of a nutritional leeway. Saying Jersey Joe Walcott wouldn't grind through sickening poverty was he allowed to live in a mansion is something of a naive cynicism even if outright true.

You will know then by their fruits is as I see it.

He was something like 3-4 lbs heavier in the ring than for the weigh-in. That's a meal and a few tall glasses of water. Absurd that he'd need an IV for that. He's probably rehydrated as much after runs and training sessions.

Problems rehydrating 3-4 lbs? No one over five has that. You go and have a meal and a few beers and you put on that weight. So in his case a meal and a few big glasses of water. Absolutely not a problem in the world. In that case every athlete who has a run in a sweat suit would have to have a friggin' IV afterwards. Not happening.

That IV was for flushing out traces of PEDs.

You think dehydrated fighters need a meal and a few beers to properly hydrate? Stick to plumbing...

What is with that he rehydrated 3-4 lbs not 20-30 lbs that you don't understand exactly?

I'm older and I do this thing called drinking water and occasionally take in electrolytes lol. Plus IV's are prohibited, he knew this, but didn't care and knew he could get away with it.

And McGregor actually rehydrated quite a bit. He was probably in the 170's for that fight.
