Flashback Video: Merchent drops mad hater comment on Floyd, Bourica Manfreddy cries

i thought it was a bull**** stoppage back then. looking at the video again....i still feel the same way. bull**** stoppage. manfreddy had his hands up and was giving floyd head movement.

 

I wished the fight would have gone longer as well.. I think he was able to continue, and it surely shouldn't have been stopped.. I do agree he should have taken a knee though, as his head was going outside of the ropes from connects/dodging punches.

 

Lol he was not saying he was slow mentally. But that he doesnt want to move up in weight too fast. Lol you guys are silly.

 

He was always getting hit by consecutive punches as well, and not answering back or trying grab. It was his own fault, but it was a quick stoppage, but maybe the ref saved him from taking further damage as he was hurt. Manfreddy doesnt have the best chin.

he was clearly looking directly at floyd....and his hands were up....and he was moving his head and shifting his shoulder to avoid punches. the knee wasn't necessary....and floyd was not going to keep throwing like that. manfreddy had pretty good defense and if my memory serves me correctly, he had not been stopped at all in his career up until that point. he deserved the benefit of the doubt. the ref pulled the trigger too quickly and floyd benefitted from a premature stoppage.

This wasn't the pillow fisted pot shot Floyd of 147, in those days Floyd was a massive puncher, he was teeing off, Manfreddy career and chin never recovered after that L, imagine if a round or 2 of that goes on

 

And people here wonder why PBF and others have a problem with Merchant.:-( He's an ******* who doesn't respect fighters.

 

manfreddy was a decent fighter. he didn't get the respect he deserved. let's not forget, he was the first guy to beat gatti convincingly. he dropped gatti. maybe the italian ref remembered that? who knows?

 

not sure what video u were watching....i saw a couple of good shots...the rest were glancing...and missing. manfreddy was clear headed and moving out of the way of shots when the ref stopped it.

 

Floyd apologised to Larry and maybe you should too.

 

Larry is a POS who has an axe to grind with Legends like Hopkins, RJJ and PBF. **** him.
