What would you say are some flaws in Stevenson's game?

My honest appraisal on stevenson. He can give kova problems with his superior speed and his 1 punch power. He's also pretty defensively astute. His flaws are his predictablity, his stamina and his chin isn't the best, but it's not complete glass.

Purely his stamina. His power and energy are one. Once he fades so does his punch power and punch resistance. Which is why he struggled like crazy to beat Fonfara, who proved to be trouble for anybody fronting at 175.

He relies too much on his left hand, so its not really difficult to figure him out. Questionable stamina and glass chin.

Against Kovalev he would stand a chance only in first 3-4 rounds. Sergey may come out too angry and emotional to adjust quickly, so Stevenson would have his chance to set traps and delivere the left hand, which may stop the fight anytime. I don't believe its likely to happen though.

Loses power in mid rounds and stamina. Weak mentally. his power is overrated. it is there but not what many say. pretty good at beating up young defenseless girls though. so there is that.

I watched the Karpency fight, and he just pawed with the right, not using it to set up his left.

His chin and the fact that he is predictable with his straight left hand. He has no right hook at all.

I think he's vulnerable to right hands. I saw Karpency and Bellew hit him with some in their fights.

He lacks an inside game, when he fought Bika all he could do was clinch when he got in close, he has no knowledge of how to fight at this range.

He relies heavily on the left hand, he rarely throws the right hook, he's a one handed fighter and he's very predictable because of it.

The low right hand and tendency to too often circle to his right to set up his left leaves him open to the left hook, we saw this in the Fonfara fight. Someone like Ward who has a fast, compact left hook combined with speed and quick footwork could wreck him at mid and close range and follow that left with a straight right like Fonfara did and you'll see Stevenson on the deck.

He fades later on in a fight, that's when he's at his most vulnerable. He also relies way to much on his speed, when he starts to show his age and slows a bit he will be much easier to get to.

I think Stevenson got lucky with a shot against a past-it Dawson.

He wouldn't even be a top 10 contender in the 80s LHW division. I don't think he'd even win a title in the mid to late 90s LHW division.

As mentioned. He burns out pretty fast & gets more and more predictable as fight goes. Plus his age is catching up with him. He should be the done doing more to get Kovalev fight.

If Fonfara gets a rematch after Cleverly (and that's a big possibility), he may beat Adonis next time.

Flaws: He's not as great as Andre Ward.
