I've had around 10-15 sparring session and i feel im improving and feeling more relaxed and natural in the ring
But the one thing that plagues me is closing my eyes when a guy works inside on me.
Im curious if this is still normal for the amount of sparring i've done
I know i can take a shot and i work fine on the outside but as soon as im taking combos i flinch.
When will this stop...i feel like its really holding me back.

10-15 rounds of sparring is jack **** when you're attempting to alter your body's natural defence reflexes.

Its nothing mate don't worry about it, you'll learn once you start getting a few hard shots

Search the forum for my three shot drill thread- read it and do that. That will fix that problem. You blink because you don't trust the reliability of your defence.

I used to have the same problem my advice would be get a friend/partner to spar you with you just on the defensive and them not hitting too hard. Helps you gain a bit of confidence in your defense without the worry that your going to get hurt if you **** up.
