Gorman is the better version of Kuzmin and Kownacki.

6'5, 260p, 12-0 (10kos), huge reach, Nick Webb. For crying out loud, will anyone in Britain give this poor lad a fight? Had both Gorman and Dubois pull out on him and stuff him around to fight lesser club fighters, cost him a year of his career. Fight this lad. He's big, tough, with a long reach, is a good solid test and the logical next step for either Gorman or Dubois.

WOW, I had no idea Hrgovic is developing hater types at 5-0. I'm not saying your one of them, Brighton Bomber.

It took longer for the same group of fans to start disliking Wladimir Klitschko.

Anyone who watched the very Pro like world series of boxing or the 2016 Olympics knows Hrgovic ( who was robbed vs. Yoka and beat him in the semi-finals ) is the real deal.

Joyce beat Hrgovic in the amateurs when he was just 20 years old. In the land of super heavyweights, a 20-year-old just isn't going to do well vs guys who are 26 or 27 with more experience. It takes a while for a kid to mature into a man.

If they re-match now, Joyce is taking a beating. While Hrgovic can use some head movement and learn to pull his jab back a little quicker, he is very big, fluid, fast and skilled. An attack-oriented fighter with long arms who's developing a hit and move style, welcoming slugging if it happens in the mid to close ranges. He's got a rock for a chin, and is a boxer who features all punches with the ability to combo. Jab, right, right cross, uppercut, body shot, left hook.

If you want to talk about speed and technique, Joyce is the one who's very exposable on defense, and he's maybe the slowest handed of all top prospects.

What's world class these days? Wilder? Hrgovic beats him right now! Joshua, he'll need another 2 years or so.

I don't know about that. Gorman has just a 73" reach, once he faces a good jabber, he's in trouble. In addition I do not think his body type will take a good heavyweight punch.

Kumin is durable and far more tested vs world class amateurs.

Gorman to be is a good regional fighter who can impress on the lower levels, but I think will be limited once he steps up.

Don’t agree he is one dimensional at all.

In fact his variety and accuracy are his best assets.

Because Hrgovic is more known. Gorman will go far but his chin will be his breaking point. Hrgovic's chin is solid steel, so because of that he will go far. Gorman will go pretty far but he will fail at very top, I think.

He pulled out of 2 Nick Webb fights for the English title. No injury, no problems, just 'going another way'. If Soltby, Dessaux and Turner are that other way, I'm not so sure. Like I've been saying, can Gorman handle a tall fighter with a long reach? Gorman has better boxing skills than Webb, whats his team worried about a big tall puncher with a long reach like Webb for? They are probably worried about Gorman's lack of ability to get on the inside and getting smashed by a huge Webb right hand catching him as he comes in. In fairness, Gorman would be favorite, but if you cant even step up to fight Nick Webb and your other way is lesser opposition, then you don't deserve any hype yet.

Gorman has announced himself. Easily the best of the recent batch of British isles prospects along with Joyce.

Hrgovic was a top quality amateur, an Olympic bronze medalist who was robbed of silver and the opportunity to contest the gold medal in the final, a world junior gold medalist, European gold medalist, and WSB champion and one of the most successful fighters in its history and has beaten the likes of Olympic gold medalist and world amateur champion Yoka (is 1-2 against him but should be 2-1), Joseph Parker, Nistor, Kuzmin, Alexander Povernov (who beat Luis Ortiz), Abdulkadir Abdullayev (who KO'd 2 x world amateur champ, 2 x Olympic silver medalist Clemente Russo in a round) Sergey Kharitonov, and Hrgovic also stopped 3 top Cubans.

And despite Hrogovic fighting a who's who of the world's top SHWs, unlike the vast majority of his peers at that weight, not only has he never been stopped, I've never seen him hurt, let alone knocked down.

He might not seem quite as impressive as a pro so far but that's why people were/are high on him.

He's 6'6'' and weighs between 223-228 IIRC, but I think if he bulked up and came in heavier than that it might serve him well given his height.

Gorman has never impressed me in the past but I thought he looked really good on Saturday night. He has about 20-25lbs on Hrgovic and his punches have more weight on them. He has fast hands and good skills too.

Hatman said that there's a rumour going round that Hrgovic knocked out Dubois when they sparred recently. Now I have no idea if it's true or not but every other sparring rumour of a fighter getting dropped or knocked out I've heard him mention has turned out to be true. In all those instances I've heard it come from numerous sources, most of which I'd already heard whispers of. However, with this one Hatman is the only person I've heard mention it and my gut feeling is it didn't happen.

    Wow.

Send me some of those drugs you're taking!

I need a break from all this reality.

Hrgovic's hands are average speed at BEST, and he telegraph's every punch like he's sending Morse code. Also, although he has passable footwork and very good head slips, he leaves himself wide open almost every time he fires a shot. He's a good counterpuncher's dream opponent.

Absolutely no future for this guy.

    None.

    (and I'm never ever wrong! :) )

Thx. I wasn't aware of Webb.

Interesting fighter. Big & surprisingly fast. Aggressive, & with a great gas tank.

He seems fairly one-dimensional with his offense, though, not unlike Gorman.
The one thing that makes him more promising, in my view, is his excellent body work.
