I'm sure you make him out to be the next best thing to god inside in the ring.

In terms of skill he ranks pretty high. He's not at the top, and he gets too much credit in this area. He's very skilled bro, a very high IQ, but he's not perfect. He has some notable holes and I've seen better boxers with more variety and a more compelte arsenal then he has, and better counter punchers as well. Floyd is great at what he does ,no question, but he's not black jesus.

    Duh. What do you expect?

It's 2012. Guys like Leonard, Pep, Monzon, Ali, Johnson, Foster, Jofre, LaMotta, Ketchel, Tyson, Robinson, Moore, Chavez, Greb, and Whitaker are all retired. It would make sense that fans of 2012 would talk about boxing in the current or recent to 2012. Being that Floyd is P4P #1 and has been for several years of late, it is totally logical for him to be spoken of in the highest light amongst boxing fans. If you think that qualifies as god-like, than that's on you. Floyd is spoken of relative to the crop around him, which is comparable to gods and men, some may say...
