That Oscar De La Hoya was inactive for over a year.

I have no idea what you are talking about. If we are referring to who had a rougher fight Oscar or Mosley vs Mayweather or Pac vs Marquez or Mayweather vs Ortiz it is the latter.

The comparison was made between Floyd sitting at home doing nothing to Mosley in the gym training hard for a fight against Berto keeping sharp.

Being active is actually getting in the ring and fighting an opponent. In the gym training, sparring and doing all that is different.

It's like having sex and jacking off. If I don't have sex for a year, I'm inactive. Even though I may be jacking off for all 365 days in the year, it's just not the same as actually getting in there having sex.

I have reason, I think hoya fought the best guys from 135 to 154 and performed to an extremely high consistently level only really losing to shane in the best victory of that decade. He then stepped upto middleweight and even past prime still gave some really top level performances. Jones looked better on film but didn't consistently fight the best in his divisions. He fought to a high level, just not as high imo. Both greats I give the edge to hoya. What's your counter?

Roy didnt "Only really losing" to anybody. He dominated his opposition. Including Hopkins and Toney which are better victories then anyone on Oscar's resume. Roy didnt get robbed. He didnt get gifts. Because he was too good to leave any doubt in the publics mind. As to why he was the better fighter.
