Flores offered incentives to come in under the limit

Call it inducement or call it penalty. The effect is the same. This is a catch weight fight.

This is like doctors telling a seriously ill patient:
This operation is great. Patients have 90% chance of total recovery. Which sounds great.

Or. This operation is very risky. It has a 10% chance of killing you. Which sounds ****.

But they are saying the same thing.

there aint no catch weight as green can weigh whatever he likes?
whilst we would expect he will come in 2-3 kg less than 90.7kg who can guarantee that is the case?

catch weight is where both fighters agree to a weight. in this all that is agreed is cruiser.

why let the facts get in the way of a load of bull****!! again, credit where credit is due, lets see how smart these yanks are?!

    Perhaps not in this instance.

But the end result will be the same, and that is BJ will be well under the CW limit, which is clearly what Green wants.

Smart tactics by Green, but it's not hard to see what his motives are.

The ultimate decision at what wieght Floser fights at is his own.
Sorry to complicate this matter with simple logic.
    Thank you all.
Godbless and let's hope Ty didn't put his hard earned Julia Gulia job incentive cash on Floser.

The original claim is that he was getting penalised for coming in at Cruiserweight.

    This is bull****.

Dress it up which ever way you want, the fact remains that he is not getting any penalty whatsoever if he weighs in at the maximum Cruiser limit.

Green made 35K for the first Beyer fight. Going by this, Flores is only going to get 140K. For all we know, the incentive figure could be upwards of 50K, and given that it states that Flores has bet his last 5K that he owns on himself, that figure could be a big carrot for him.

Yes, he's fighting at cruiserweight, but it's with as "But". The guy is a dumb clown, and can get away with it because the majority of Aus boxing fans dont know any better.

I didnt say that. I just think it stinks that Danny cant help but flirt with the idea of catchweight.
Some people like to dress it up as something else, but until we know what the incentive figures are, I remain sceptical.

Knowing how Green works, it may as well be a penalty fee if he comes in at cruiser.

Leons got a point, the orignal claim was that he would be penalised if he come in at the 200LB limit. I wont dig up the ESPN screenshot but the short version was just that and im incline to believe that he is being penalised and its being dressed up as an incentive, this is soley due to the ESPN co workers comments as he has seen the contract.

Whats odd is Greens already giving this guy a tone of money right guys? 200k way over the top, BUT THERES STILL MORE! lol Green is that nice he offers even MORE MONEY with so called incentives? mmmm smells fishy to me

The article states that Flores pushed for these incentives.

Also, just to clarify, Flores bet his last $5k on himself against Darnell Wilson, not this fight against Green.

Dan Rafael isn't the most credible source on the planet, so a screenshot of an email Q&A with his answer stating that he can't remember the exact details but that the contracted weight was well under 200lbs contradicts this thread's article, which states that the fight was signed at 200lbs but there are incentives for Flores to come in under.

WOW Brua, is that really you behind the keyboard? I rekon thats the first civilized response ive had from you since ive been posting here lol

Flores pushed for compensation if he was to make DannyWeight yes this is true. I mention to you that he complained to the IBO about the Catchweight, its most likely he wanted compensation for making Dannyweight and we are only now just publicly hearing about this however BJs been told to call them INCENTIVES?..

    Next please?
