Are you serious with these comments ? Your hero has been fighting light heavies and middles for his so called Cruiserweight Championship of the World. This fight is a fraud and the dumb Green fans still can't admit to it. I said all along it would be a BS catchweight and it is. It's funny that Danny didn't let on at previous press conferences etc etc that Flores had so called "incentives" to come in under weight. I wonder why he didn't let on about this earlier. ****in fraud
:good Yep, I know, I took him into deep water lol last week in another thread when I asked him for sources to back up his claims that: Green asked for a catchweight Flores complained to the IBO about Green's request The IBO refused Green's request in order to maintain credibility after the Briggs fight Flores doesn't read much and signed the contract without reading it properly. Can you believe the shite this bloke comes up with? He never did provide any links, all he had was a screenshot of a half-arsed email Q&A about the weight from Dan Rafael and screenshots of Flores' facebook page, on which people had posted questions asking him about the weight and no answers from Flores. Apparently that's all it takes for TC to come up with the above allegations :yep
Now what did green say :huh To be the best you need to beat the best If Green beat the best in RJJ then Mundine beat Green quite a bit easier :rofl He beat him easier as he fought 12 rounds and beat him almost every round :deal...not a lucky clip on the hair like Briggs :blood If you call Stipe Drews a true world champ then it shows you have little understanding of what a champ is and in that case Mundine is 4 time world champ
I agree that the 3 opponents he's fought since he won the belt were not true CW's, but you can't deny that Flores is a genuine CW. You also can't say with any certainty that Green pushed for a catchweight - the contracts were signed some time ago for a fight @ CW, and the very article you're referring to to back your statement about the "incentives" also states that Flores was not prevented from weighing in at 200lbs. 5 lbs under 200lbs is hardly a backbreaker, especially when Green's come in at a career-high weight at the same time, and who knows - maybe Flores is quite comfortable with coming that light - he did state in an article recently that he didn't think the extra weight would be an advantage for him over Green. Flores is 31 yrs old and the LOWEST he has EVER been was 198.5 lbs for a fight. Why did Green put "incentives" into the contract anyway ? and MORE IMPORTANTLY why did he not let on about this before dumb people bought tickets and PPV thinking it was a 200 lb limit fight ?
Mate at CW 3 or 4 pounds less is no problem.....I dont think Flores has any weight issues / drying out He will be 100% :deal Lets get it on :bbb
It's a lot if he normally has to dry out to make 200 which his whole career proves when you look at ALL his previous fights. This sort of thing is what is ****ed about boxing today. The pacman fight the other day was another JOKE. Margarito and Pac had no right to fight for that world title belt anyway. Neither are junior middleweights and neither of them had won ANY meaningful fights at junior middleweight. That fight was another Arum "in house" farce to pump up Pac as an 8 weight world champ or some BS. I'm ****in sick of this ****.
FFS, according to the article you're citing, it was Flores who pushed for the incentives! Apart from this single article, no mention has been made of 'incentives'. Why believe only part of the article and not all of it, or disbelieve the whole thing? FYI - check out the weights Green and Mundine came in at for their various SMW fights - you'll find you've been ripped off a few pounds here and there by those thieving *******s, as they didn't always come in bang on 168
Have YOU looked at all of his previous fights mate? Flores has only fought 5 fights within the CW limit, the rest he fought at SuperCruiser/Heavyweight i.e. higher than 200lbs. He fought as high as 218lbs then dropped to 200lbs to fight Darnell Wilson 4 months later, so 5 lbs below 200 isn't going to hurt him.
There are too many weight divisions in boxing today. I just want to see cruiserweights fight cruiserweights at cruiserweight. The same with all the other divisions. I enjoy MMA more and more these days. IMO better match ups and more legitimate match ups then boxing. It's a shame that boxing and the people involved with it do this to the sport.
Take a look at all the threads and posts even before a punch has been thrown in the fight. Threads and posts for all the wrong reasons, unfortunately atsch Boxing at the top level has largely gone nuts and I doubt it can ever get back to any form of sanity. What a fukkin mess :dead
How this panned out looks pretty simple. Danny first discussed catch weight with Flores, Flores got the shits, went to the IBO made reference to the fact that if this fight is for the cruiserweight belt, then it should be at the legit 200lb limit. IBO contacts Danny, says, "Mate, can you fix this **** up", Danny heads to BJ and says, "Ok mate, if you weigh in well under 200lb we'll give you more cash". If that is indeed what happened, I don't see it as Flores pushing for it, rather Danny stacking the odds in his favour as he has the cash to do it. Danny didn't want the fight at 200lb, offering extra money for BJ (who needs money) to do it was taking advantage of a somewhat desperate man. BJ is partly to blame though, if he has seriously compromised his ability to win for a bit of extra cash he is as dumb as a doorknob.
Why didn't Danny say - "**** off BJ i'm not paying you more cash. Weigh in at 200 and i will still knock you out".
