Whether you like it or not Johnny, Flores ticks most of the boxes, and nearly all the boxing media are talking him up.

.....all will be reveiled on the night.

All the talk about BJ not fighting for 13 months is meaningless when hes been in the gym constantly including the main sparring partner for Davis Haye.
Since Danny and Flores fought on the under card of Lacy RJJ,Danny hasn't even fought 4rds:deal

BTW, when did I say RJJ ain't an ATG?
Just because green beat RJJ when he was many years passed his ATG era, doesn't make Green something special.
It also doesn't take RJJ's ATG status away from either, at least not in my eyes.
The silly **** just fought too long, like most do.

RJJ was and always will be an elite fighter.
Danny Green will never be anything but a 'B' grade OZ puncher at best.
Nothing wrong with that, but it all gets a bit silly when some take it for something it isn't.

Yeah but the preparation leading into those 2 fights is the thing that makes you active.

The general consensus of opinion from some good judges in the us is that flores doesnt rate.

Im happy enough with the fight. Even if flores isnt that hot, he looks to be in and around greens level.

I dont know if you did or not...I take it you didn't..I did put another posters name in there as an example of a Green Hater who simply cannot give credit where it is due in any circumstance...but removed it cause I have had veiled digs as this poster fairly often but have realised how much of a simpleton he really is.

This can be taken as blind hate....."B" grade at best...:huh..

Name some others from our shores who are "B" grade at best (live fighters) and lets compare thier abilities, history, achievements...etc....

Your list should make for great debating....or maybe in your case mass debating...:yep

The reigning IBF cruiser champion Steve Cunningham recently had a year off between fighting Huck & Adamek, and a further year off between fighting Braithwaite and then winning the title from Ross.

A year off means nothing if you are in training in the interim.

The reason Flores hasn't fought for a year is well documented. They've struggled to get him an opponent.

Take it however you want it.
Do you think he is something other than 'B' grade on the world scene?

I think on a world scene Green is B grade Crusierweight, i rekon if i was wrong he wouldnt have any need to fight for the lowly IBO title and would have a real world title right now at crusierweight, however since he has failed to fight any real crusierweights we are all left guessing, he is just playing the same game that mandy has been playing with us.

Now that we've so 'firmly' established Green is 'B' grade. If Flores is 'B' grade or better he's an ideal opponent right?

Probably time to start arguing Flores is 'C' grade now if he's not a suitable opponent.

As I already said earlier, it would seem so.
No argument from me, but again as I said earlier, I do remain skeptical.

And as you said earlier, we'll find out on the night.

Exactly. :dealI searched through threads relating to him before and found one where people were calling him ****.

Still a step in the right direction, but fighting Cameron after it will be two steps back.

hope BJ makes a fight of it.
The vision I saw of a couple of his fights didn't make him look too flash.

So many good points on this thread. From both sides TBH.

But as someone has said on here, and the former undisputed HW champ has said, everybody has a plan until they get hit....

Hard for me to assess Flores since Ive seen so little of him. People were saying they'd watch 5 or 6 of his past fights. Ive been struggling to locate any footage at all. Anyone have some they can send me?
