Interesting. Can't say I saw this coming.

I still don't think he'll be a champion though. Infact I think he'll have an even rougher time.

Great move. KenFlo is a top 10 Lightweight I think he will be even better as a Featherweight. Mendes vs Florian would be a great fight for top contender spot after Hominick and Aldo fight.

He should fight Mendez first, especially as he beat Omigawa so well.

The incredible shrinking man. He was a streak of **** at 155. I dont fancy he's chances at all at 145. Remember when James Irvin went down to 185?

You're comparing the skills of James Irvin to Kenny Florian?

What the hell?? the guy fought at middleweight!! that's some drop, especially at his age and when the metabolism slows up, how the hell is he gonna get down to 145???

Irvin's kick-eye socket to the fist against Anderson was the greatest combo in MMA history!
Silva is lucky the ref stopped it. Cause those headbutts to the fist that James was pulling off whilst on his back could have left Anderson with a hand like Jeremy Beadle!

i agree i think that extra 10lbs cut could really do more damage to him!

He moves down in weight he's at most two wins away from a title match. He stays at lightweight he's at most two losses away from being cut. Seems like a fairly simple choice to make.

An excellent move considering the very thick guys that can make 155, such as Maynard. Florian may weigh 155 at weigh in, but the guy looks pretty thin. He's gotten by almost purely on skill and fight IQ. Pretty impressive, I think.

145 has a weaker talent pool but as has been said that seems like a very big cut for Kenny. Look at Diaz for example, very similar bodytype and after the Gomi match the cut to 160 was clearly shown to have a negative effect.

If Kenny thinks he can hit 145 then why not put on some more weight at 155 instead? It worked for Nick.
