Signed a multi fight deal with Boxxer.

Not a fight I am that bothered by buy clearly shifts a lot of tickets and gets people watching.

    Another choosing Sky over DAZN

Hearn getting rid of every welterweight so he doesn’t have to match them with Benn

Marku is garbage. And Hearn wanted to sign him to a new deal. Benn would destroy him

Still no confirmation of the imminent takeover of BT Sports since it was reported as imminent in early Oct 2021 and again earlier this month.

He's moved trainers again. Grant Smith this time. Be interesting to see who he's with for his next fight, Joe G maybe?

    Isn’t Marku’s management company 258?

That’s a sign that all 258 fighters (Joshua, Okolie, Buatsi, Ben Whittaker etc) will sign with Sky/Boxxer as a promoter.

Same thing happened with Frazer Clarke etc

I don't think he's that good but I wouldn't say Benn would destroy him. Benn himself is not that good at all. Probably still beats Marku by moving better.

Like mckenna alot but don't see this ending well for him. Prograis is quality would expect him show his class and break him down and stop him middle rounds

50-50 fight for me. It would probably be an entertaining watch in all fairness.

Lee's MTK shows now feeder league for his paymasters at Probellum. Got to be a sore point watching Sam Jones getting the bug role ahead of you though.

Heard a strong rumour that Boxxer have lowered their promoters % on a chunk of signing currently. They need to build a stable and are going in strongly on gettable fighters. I think this will only last 12-18 months and once they have a stable it will calm down slightly.

Apparently S-Jam/Marku wanted the same deal Johnny Fisher got and Hearn saw value in Johnny Fisher not the same value in Marku. Essentially Hearn wanted to do a show in Albania then throw him in a tough fight. Sky played the longer game and agreed to build across 5 fights for bigger purses

I get that Benn isn’t popular and there’s serious questions over whether he’ll be world level as Hearn hopes, but he would blast Marku out no problem.
