marquez doesn't really belong in that category however theres a long list of fighters who have similar resumes some better some worse right now
winning and losing doesn't always have a clear line.but you seek out the toughest competition
the fact is he called out de la hoya since he was a featherweight
so he moved up in weight took low risk high reward fights built his name and some sort of marketability
got the #1 p4p slot by beating gatti
all the while bypassing guys like tsyzu hatton marg for the big intention

which is to get at de la hoya and to keep that fight as big as it was floyd needed to remain undefeated and at the top of the p4p charts.
you got guys on here trying to discredit someone for a loss
when it shows alot of character to fight someone who may have the ability to beat you.
you name these fighters that mayweather has beat and yea he has a few names
but you measure a win by what the guy who was beaten did before the fight and also after the fight as a meauring stick of what he has left in the tank
thats why i say mayweathers career defining win was against corrales a man he dominated who went on to do big things

No one has ever thought Ali, Haglar, Foreman, Marciano, Leonard, Liston, Holmes, Norton, Frazier, Hearns, Tyson, Holyfield, etc, no one has ever thought these guys have ducked anyone, or been afraid to fight anyone at any time of their careers. And why? Because they fought every one, even if the odds were against them, they fought anywhere and anyone at anytime. I think these guys are like the guys that really go to war and come back heros. They aren't the guys that run up to canada.

Now, why is Mayweather considered a ducker? Is it because there are haters out there, that are trying to blind everyone from the truth? How come there are no haters trying to blind us of the truth about Ali, Foreman, Haglar, Frazier, etc?

De La Hoya is known for not ducking people, until recently concerning Margarito. And because of this, his fans are getting upset and on his case for thinking of fighting Pac instead. Hoya fans are true fans of boxing, and you can't call them haters or nuthuggers or whatever, because they are getting on Hoya, and rightfully so. Margarito fans would get on Margo's case if he ducked Williams forever. Margo fans are true boxing fans too.

But, what's with the Mayweather fans? They are so blind when it comes to anything Mayweather. And all Mayweather fans know how to do is call everyone a hater who disagrees. Mayweather is good, no doubt, but he's the only guy I know that is an ATG and an Alltime ducker too! I wish James Toney could have fought him, or Roy Jones could have fought him, those guys are so good they would knock out anyone the likes of Mayweather. But, if it had been possible, it wouldn't have happened, Mayweather would have ducked Roy and Toney!

I see no difference between ducking and being not interested, you have to see it that way because you don't know what's inside the guy. I have always wondered why Mayweather has never wanted to fight everyone, because he is so good. I think it is because of his chin. He has probably been floored before in sparring. I've also noticed when he fights, and someone hits him well, the very few times he's been hit, he gets a panic look on his face. Strange to me that someone that good would get a panic look. If you don't believe me about the panic look, just look at the fights again.

yea im glad there has finally gotten a few fans of the sport giving feedback instead of just a personal fan.
i was a huge mayweather fan in his earlier career
however somewhere it took a left turn and it wasn't as important to show his greatness
but you know talent alone won't make you great you need the balls to go with it

You're right, it is similar to Berto's sitauation. And people ARE saying Berto isn't ready. He's been given a title w/o ANY real wins over fighters who would be deemed a threat to any other top WW.

your making your own reasons to back up your stong and stubborn and somewhat ignorant dislike you have with your feelings towards Mayweather.

Im getting tired of pointing out your faults in your logic because you seem stubborn and certain in your feelings towards Mayweather so talking to you is like talking to a brick wall..
