The 130 pound version of Pac wasn't complete, far from it. He was limited flawed and reckless. He got by with workrate speed power and angles period. If he had someone who he couldn't overwhelm he struggled. See his fights with JMM and EM at 130 for reference.:deal

He had a pretty complete attack. He could land from anywhere, anytime with lightening speed and huge power. And it was hard to catch him coming in because he had great head movement.

He beat Marquez and lost to Morales 7-5.

You know the other man trains hard too you know? It's not like it's easy to just topple over Morales and Marquez at 130 pounds.

You make it sound like everyone has power. Power is one of those things you either have or you don't.

And since when do you need power to be great?

Boxing is about utilizing your attributes and skills, while minimizing your opponent's advantages. You can make up for not having pop by having great speed. You can make up for not having speed by having great timing.

The thing is he still lost and couldn't beat JMM convincingly at 130 IMO as well as others because he was limited and not as complete. Like I said earlier the Pac at 147 is more complete and smarter than the 130 pound version he has a much better ring IQ can counter much better and has much better defense. Had Pac fought like that at 130 instead of relying on physical attributes like he did at 130 he would have been a monster.

The last two things i see as being a big problem for PAC. One of the key things in having a chance at beating Floyd is limiting his movement and cutting off the ring. Castillo was able to do it to a degree on their first fight but that has never been a strong suit for PAC. The last thing i see is what possibly get PAC stopped in this matchup. Floyd is one the best thinkers in the ring so once he notices PAC being out of position and off balance when he throws he is going to get countered all night. Its fights like this back then when he usually stops the opponent due to accumulation.

Yep it's bad enough that he only fights at one range but he can't cut off the ring either. He would be just following PBF around. Also him coming in off balanced and lunging is a recipe for disaster against a master counter puncher like PBF. Especially at 130 because his reflexes were cat quick.

It amazes me how they always have to find a a specific moment in time that Pac or some other fighter might have been able to beat Mayweather. Pac's promoter(s) certainly didn't think Pac could beat Floyd during that time!

Pacquiao did not fight at one range. He was able to fight at all ranges in the first Barrera fight. He jumped in and out all night. Landed body shots too.

He peppered Morales in the body in the second fight and was doing inside work all night. Morales then ran out of gas and Pac finished him. No doubt the body work paid off.

He walked down Cotto in the later rounds. He cut off the ring and then obliterated him.

Floyd's countering was much better at 147 than 130. At 130 pounds he liked to trade more. When he stepped up against Corrales he conceded that he was in with the stronger and more powerful man. So he used he legs and quick hands to break him down. But he really did not counter Corrales that much to be honest. He was just so much faster than Corrales and was able to get off at will.

Exactly Morales beat a young Pacquiao it was a bloody WAR.

I don't remember any hugs or any of the two running.

It was mano o mano! No IV's drug test, demands, vacation, ducking.

    Or USADA!

    :bbb

FFS void never went against a legit ATG at 130 do not bring up that bum Corralles or Ndou! Please stop! Or even Castillo they are not atg.

Morales and Pacquiao are the best of what boxing has to offer. Their first fight was a legendary fight. An epic. No quit, no denying, no running, no hugging, no IV.

They had what Floyd lacked and that's nuts.

Stop hating, can they fight while severely dehydrated....certainly not. Floyd fought while severely dehydrated.

They're too one dimensional though. They decided that they were going to not clinch, not run away and not complain.
