    I he had made this and then won won in convincing fashion you guys would claim it was a cherry pick and that Margo is the same slow, plodding fighter floyd always hand picks. He only gets brought up because Floyd never fought him.

    Stop it, please. Floyd toys with Margarito....unless Margo comes in with concrete gloves. THEN maybe it's a fair fight.

    EVERYONE was saying that Floyd would administer a Gatti-like beating on Maidana, who was shut out by Devon Alexander. They were even saying that Floyd would stop him to the body because Amir Khan dropped him hard.

    PBF was 37 and past his prime and faded when he fought Maidana dummy quit acting like it was the same 28 year old prime PBF who fought Gatti that was in the ring with Maidana. Even them he beat Maidana 2x. At 37 Pac had Jeff Horn problems and got his **** pushed in by a C fighter who Crawford destroyed.:deal:

    everyone knows floyd has notoriously avoided many fighters until theyre well past their prime, soo this is no surprise.

    I seem to remember looking at their actual timeframes at the weight... and the 'ducking of Margarito' is imo overblown.

    Had Margarito beaten Williams, or beaten Mosley, Im sure hed have gotten the Floyd fight. He kept losing when it mattered, imo.

    Secondly... Cotto made Margarito look like a novice for 6 rounds with his speed and skills, a 2008 Mayweather would have done that and more.

    Margarito comes on late to win the last few rounds in a fight hes getting washed in.

    Mayweather 9 rounds to 3.

    Do you have reading comprehend issues? Marcos Maidana was widely veiwed as a caveman w/ decent power. He was shut out by Devon Alexander. The point is that Floyd was expected to wash Maidana and that didn't happen. So you saying that Floyd would have beaten Margarito easy is no foregone conclusion as Margarito was a fire-tested guy going against the likes of Clottey, Williams, Cotto, and Mosley. Margarito was meaner and enjoyed hurting people more than Crawford, too.

    Floyd was supposed to wash and even stop Maidana. That was the general consensus, but Maidana took Floyd into deep waters. Margarito is bigger, harder-hitting, and had a vastly superior chin and workrate to Maidana.

    Margarito demonstrated such a Qualities did he against Mosley with a level playing field. Bringing up Margarito = no credibility!

    Yeah on the HBO broadcast they discussed how margarito had the Mayweather fight lined up all he had to do was beat Williams which he didn't

    Similarly Williams Lost immediately to quinntana then beat quinntana and then never fought at the weight class again. I think the ducking of Williams has been really overblown as well

    Marg was a stylistic nightmare for Floyd. There is no way Floyd would made Marg respect his punches. He would have got abused and stopped.
