Reach is an asset yes and PBF knows how to use it some fighters don't, like Robert Easter or Williams who dwarfed everyone at WW with his reach but was too stupid to use it. So you can be blessed with reach and not use it. Just like you can be blessed with good power or a chin. All of these things made him a complete fighter that's all I'm saying.

The idea that Duran couldn't beat Mayweather because of Floyd's reach advantage is absurd.

Since Duran beat a bigger, stronger, longer, faster, more complete, more versatile, more determined, more gritty fighter named Ray Leonard, in his prime, no less. So the assertion is flatly absurd.

TBF, I don't think Duran will outright blowout FMJ either.
I think the interesting fight of that match up is both FMJ and Duran has the arsenal to beat each other, and they can both execute a strategy to win over each other.

I personally think the Duran that fought SRL takes that fight, and the only version of Floyd that can win over Duran is the cautious, pot shotting, ring running version of Floyd and absolutely not the pretty boy version. He can't clinch like what he did to Pacquiao all night too. His ribs are going to get shattered.

Margarito does not have the power of madaina just work rate with hands but to slow with feet and Floyd would have played with him

In fairness, Floyd did have far more than knowing how to use his reach. Not that I think it would help vs Durán, but his reach wasn't the centre of his style or anything.

I have NEVER used an Alt I think theyre childish actually & most times the fools give themselves away. I remember drenlou came on as CJCROCK lol & started harassing. One of the mods finally got fed up with the childishness & booted him LOL.
Funny you never see him these days not as drenlou anyway ROFLMAO

Margarito would haveLaughed at Floyd's running & dancing & just walked through his pitty pats & taken him out late. Floyd at last admitted himself that he did duck Margarito " Something told him not to fight him" ROFL
That was the same thing made Floyd mess his pants when Tony stood before him he was TERRIFIED. I wish I could get hold of the full tape of that incident & not the one humiliating & making fun of Floyd. Floyd was literally terrified of Margarito. I'm happy he's finally admitted it maybe it'll shut PimpC up now lol

You despise Antonio because he was ACCUSED!! of trying to load his gloves. Ive known him since he came to Ft Worth Tx on a card my friend Wayne Harrison was promoting in 1999 a long time ago. Ive followed him & been ringside at the majority of his fights in the US since then. & seen his hands taped many many times including Cotto 1 by the way. I have never seen any impropriety with his wraps at any time. Even the CSAC could not prove he'd done anything wrong but they still banned him for over 2 years because they suspected!!! he'd tried & on the blatant lie from Nazim Richardson claiming "Plaster Blocks" fell from the wraps ROFL
What happened to Tony was deplorable they tarnished a good fighter name & reputation without one iota of proof.

Its impossible to get any sense out of you regarding Mayweather you idolise him & think he walks on water. Youre besotted ROFLMAO
He was a very talented boxer but lacked the balls to be a real champion.
He relied on Bob Bennett& the NSAC, USADA & Vegas boxing to make sure he never lost that 0 by any means legal & illegal

Floyd ducked and dodged all his most dangerous possible opponents. Am I doing it right?

Not after watching Floyd struggle from start to finish in his career with 2 fighters with a poor imitation of an animal in Duran..If Castillo and Maidana got rematches to iron out whos better u can bet big Duran don't need the rematch ! HUGE, the worst style match up for Floyd and the best at implementing it !

I won't say that I predict an out and out, total and comprehensive display of savage dismantling of Mayweather by Duran. But prime for prime at 135, I would not be surprised if such an outcome was to occur. You're talking about a cheap imitation of Duran (Castillo) took him life and death. A fighter with a pure glass chin took a prime Mayweather life and death with simple teachings of pressure fighting. Imagine the most sophisticated fighter ever caught on film extensively pressuring Mayweather. I can't imagine Mayweather winning.

Oh I agree, but I think the idea Pimp's going for is that Floyd can use his reach advantage when he has it, but can still beat world level guys without it while having a reach disadvantage.

God I'm sounding like his alt.

The argument that a 4 inch reach advantage is what he'd need to be Durán, who's style was directly benefited and a was almost built around having a shorter reach is insane.
