Just trying to add some balance into this thread, you're suggesting in that post and in others that Mayweather fought most of his fights with a physical advantage because he's 5' 8" with a long reach, in that fight he was completely at a physical disadvantage against an elite large light middleweight.

I don't think that anybody can objectively say that Mayweather's career was filled with size mismatches in his favour. Reach is only one factor.

 

You place too much importance on reach.

 

It is speculation he was officially cleared.

JLC kept getting stopped by domestic level Mexican grass cutters and roofers.

 

JLC was seen as the best LW of the era. Williams was never seen as the best of anything.
