Ring size is an almost non-negotiable 20x20 by NSAC. It's not a Pac demand.

why do they have to reach out for him? he can try to get the ball rolling himself as well right, trough this whole thing it always seemed to me that they were not going to chase floyd and jump trough hoops for him, he could have said hey im willing to make this happen lets negotiate about it. instead he was quiet for a very long time.
At this point its not important though, lets see what happens after september and november.

pac has a few demands (gloves, ring size, over weight clause ect...) which floyd agrees to , to make the fight happen

floyd wants extra drug testing, pac says no to stop the fight from happening

i dont understand how *******s think only pac is allowed to make demands

floyds the bigger draw , he dosnt have to agree to 50-50 but he still does to make the fight happen

    i see a trend here

When has Manny showed interest? He always says he doesn't need Floyd or that he fights who his promoter wants him to or that if it happens, it happens :patsch

Ring size is standard, yet *****s call that a Pac demand.

Floyd doesn't have to pay a penny if he makes weight, so what's the big deal? Make the weight and the demand is not even a factor.

50/50 is a reasonable deal for this fight. It's not a demand, since both sides get the same amount. Floyd might think he is the bigger draw, but Pac has the higher career PPV sales and generated more money. Also, he is higher ranked both p4p and at WW.

Additionnal drug test demands insinuate that Pacquiao has been cheating his entire career and cast a shadow on his legacy. Accepting that would be like letting your opponent back you into a corner and force you to bend over.

Mosley didn't accept them against Judah. Hopkins didn't accept them against Pascal. Pacquiao didn't accept them (at first) against Floyd.

manny is the active one while floyd was on vacation, it made more sense for floyd to say hey im active again lets negotiate, if the guy isnt fighting why would you chase him?
But about pac, he never seemed to care, if it happened it was cool if not cool as well, because people kept asking for it is why he now said yeah we can fight if he beat ortiz etc. probably if they both win negotiations will start again.

you're right *****. To say that fighting in the standard 20x20 ring is not a demand... that's obviously some ******* spin

Pac agreed to have the fight in Floyd's hometown.

Pac agreed for Floyd to have top billing.

Pac agreed to walk into the ring 1st.

...and what's so wrong with Pac's demand of 10 mil for every pound Floyd is off. Was Floyd at that time planning not to honor the the agreed weight again?? :think

a ) its still a demand. Floyd might want a smaller or larger ring... most *******s think floyd will run and potshot in this fight , a larger ring would be ideal for that.... advantage/demand for pac

b ) its not a big deal , if floyd comes in overweight hes a ***** for doing so , but its a demand made by pac and potentially very expensive

c ) 50 / 50 is reasonable , but the higher career PPV sales becomes obsolete when its in a 1 on 1 situation with someone who 1 on 1 obviously sells more

d ) Accepting wouldnt be getting forced into a corner , it would be saying I am clean , whatever tests i take will prove im clean.
By not agreeing to tests casts a shadow of doubt and when you factor in how big of a deal it would be to so many people if he was caught cheating it seems all too easy not to take any extra tests.

why not set a precedent in the FOTC .... both fighters taking extra tests when the current ones clearly dont work... ala mosley

vegas is the mecca of boxing ... It would be an outrage for the fight not to happen there

Floyd agreed to the overweight penalty, it is a non-issue

    1) it's not a demand, it's the standard. Demanding something outside the standard is a demand.

    2) if it's not a big deal, then who gives a ****. It's not expensive if he makes weight. If he makes weight, which he should, he doesn't pay a penny.

    3) 50/50 is the only reasonable thing. You can't expect the p4p king, fighter of the decade, #1 ranked WW, and the fighter with the most PPV sales to his name in the entire sport to take less than 50/50.

    4) Accepting would be stupid. If Pac takes the tests and loses (anything can happen in boxing) then a lot of people will think he was doping in previous fights and it could tarnish his legacy. Especially if he gets tested on the day of the fight - and Floyd requires that to be a possibility - and doesn't perform at 100% because of it.

Pacquiao fans are getting demolished in this one... badly. They always sound so defensive it's funny.
