In the last few days I've made an effort to watch Floyd a lot more, mainly looking up old vids on Youtube and I must say I really don't think he deserves all the crap he gets. Firstly his personality. I've been guilty of it I admit but he isn't as bad as people make out. His biggest letdown his his insecurity I feel, which probably stems from the ****ed up family he comes from. There have been a lot worse trash talkers in the past and it's mostly just hype to make $$$. And the "runner" accusations I feel are way over the top and exagarated (the same goes for Hatton's "hugger" style as well where he's a very underrated inside fighter). Floyd is now fighting mostly bigger guys so he'd be a bit stupid to stand there and exchange wouldn't he? I still hope Hatton smashes him mind but I don't think he's half as bad as people make out. His fanboys are terrible though of course
Well. I think he is that bad. I know it was partially to sell tickets but any body that can even act as big an ass-hole as Floyd did in his whispering in Hatton's ear crap has gotta have something wrong with him. Too many camp followers applauding his every idiot move instead of telling him he came off a bit homo-erotic perhaps? As far as insecurity being an excuse for bad behavior well.. most *******s are insecure. Hitler was a tad insecure himself..does this mean he actually wasn't really that bad of a guy? If Floyd had the character to fight like a warrior during the fight instead of a little girl, he wouldn't have to work so hard to establish himself as a man ****** bad ass between fights. Might even be able to sell tickets without resorting to needing to promise to take his opponent in the bum. Of course maybe he finds men attractive and that's o.k. but could he maybe be just a tad less public and aggressive about it?
I am with you. He talks constant ****, but he hasn't killed anyone, raped anyone, assaulted anyone. There are far worse out there in boxing.
The comparison was more to demonstrate that insecurity doesn't excuse poor behavior. I admit Hitler was a very bad chap rather worse than Floyd, but then again of course power corrupts and absolute power...ect. If Floyd were suddenly to become dictator of Germany who knows what might happen?
Talking about being embarassed coming from a guy with Acelino "No Mo" Freitas in his signature. I'm embarassed for you. :rofl
He annoys me how he thinks he is one of a kind (outside the ring). Saying no1 can ever understand Floyd Mayweather , he thinks he has had it worse than every1 else
I don't excuse him being a jerk at times because of his dysfunctional family and insecurity. But I don't think being insecure or having a chip on your should is really a bad trait if you're a professional athlete.
I have always said this. I'm a Floyd fan though you won't see me arguing with people about it. For one, you can tell when he's trying to be the "bad" guy, if you can't tell he's acting something is wrong. Secondly, why do people care so much is what baffles me, it's not the WWF here.
It is pretty bad isn't it? He tries to straighten himself up, but he still has a smirk on his face. "I am the lion!"...with his voice squeaking like a preteen.
