If Cotto were announced, you'd just flip the names. Alvarez has accomplished more at 154 than Cotto. The resumes at the weight aren't even really close.
so what? cotto is the better fighter with the better resume, much better choice than young canelo. Martinez 154 would be a better choice than either guy.
I agree. Canelo should actually be fighting Cotto. Floyd should be fighting Pac, Berto and Ortiz are tied up but the winner may be able to make the May5th date but it's too uncertain.

? Cotto is a far better and proven fighter then Alvarez. Alvarez has next to no chance against Floyd. He had trouble with Alfonso Gomez for god sake.

He should be fighting Bunddrage, Angulo types next for the year. Then Cotto, then Mayweather. He's a good kid, but he's barely done much in boxing, and at his age, has a lot to learn still. But since it's a big money fight, there's a chance it happenes soon.
