Floyd is growing. Kudos to Floyd in the way he handled Mr. Garcia. He made a change, left Garcia with his self respect and did the most important thing of all...PAID GARCIA WELL!!! It's a true blessing that Garcia gets to retire and enjoy his Golden Years. I'm looking forward to the people that make up the new team. It will tell us a whole lot about Floyd's boxing future...hmmph he may fight more than 50 fights...he sure talks to B-Hop a lot...bringing Ariza on board. Say what you want...but everybody knows that Ariza is good at getting guys ready to fight... Floyd making adjustments to STAY ON TOP...TBE!
"Ariza is good at getting guys ready to fight..." and also good at getting fired after a short period of time so he can't be that great lol.
Floyd unceremoniously demoted an 85 year old cutman who's been working for him for years, and you're complimenting him on it?. The old man's feelings were so hurt, he's quitting. Which ballsucker in Floyd's camp are you?
Floyd once again proves what a worthless POS he is Garcia has been with him for years, Ellerbee was a faithful "advisor" Roger gets hoofed. When will Floyd realize its HIM that's cost him his place as an ATG no one elses. Do us all a big favor RETIRE TODAY & MEAN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He's doing the Sugar Ray Leonard thing of the late 80s, without the amazing opposition that Leonard fought from 79-81. And Hagler in 87' too. Infrequent fighting, using his leverage to be even more of a diva, firing longtime members of his team.
Garcia left on his own, but on good terms. Floyd never fired him, actually sent Garcia to work on Mickey Bey, but saw Beys hands already wrapped. Garcia has his pride didn't want to be irrelevant as more time passed he is 85. Seemed Floyd still wanted him around working on his fighters hands, but like I said they seem to be on good terms.
Despite obvious ill feelings, both Mayweather and Garcia took the high road when discussing each other. Both said that the other is great and both were thankful for each other.
