You're trying too hard. What matters is how a fighter is ranked when the fight occurs, not what he looks like 8 months after the fight's over. Floyd doesn't fight guys who only have one good win, the vast majority of his opponents have cemented their credibility as world class fighters, so you can't just go around saying they were overrated.

You're absolutely right on one thing though, most of Mayweather's opponents are never the same after fighting him, which is something lots of people noticed way before you posted this thread trying to make it look like Floyd is only fighting bums.

43-0-0, soon to be 44-0-0, and you will have to deal with it.

Very good post. I love watching the best do their thing in any sport but Floyd has been a non factor for years imo, I'd be the biggest Floyd nuthugger there is if he was seeking out the best fights with his talent. He does the opposite though, he seeks out the fight with the most reward for the least risk. He's not a true competitive athlete out to prove that he's the best of the best, he's just trying to manipulate the hype and nonsense of the pro game to make the most money he can. In professional boxing you fight for money and if you're a popular fighter you never have to fight anyone you don't want to. Floyd is part of the problem with professional boxing. In what other sport does the 'best' guy not have to face the best challengers? Floyd takes advantage of this and perpetuates the ridiculous idea that his 0 means something. It means something to the casual fan, for every true follower of boxing it's who you fight. If Floyd had a loss or two but had fought better competition then I would be a big fan. **** Floyd, he's everything that is wrong with the sport. That's why I'm a big fan of the amateur game, it's an actual sport and not just some WWE bull**** with hype and characters. Rigondeaux and Lomachenko are boxers/athletes and that's it. Floyd is a politician and a businessman first and foremost.

That's enough out of you. I can tell by your simpleton approach, that going into a slightly deeper analysis of Floyd's resume is beyond your grasp. Go stick to your facts and enjoy the up and coming mega-fight with Guererro.

    Floyd fans on ESB

Finally a credible poster joins the debate and no surprise, I agree with all of the above.

Part in bold wholeheartedly goes for me too. My name on here is Fundamentals, and Floyd has some of the best fundamental skills a boxer can possess.

The deluded Floyd fans on ESB like to state these FACTS like the rankings system in Boxing isn't hugely flawed. Then you get the tag along casual guys, who despite their eagerness to follow Boxing, are not quite bright enough to understand the politics that go with it (bless em'). So Floyd manages to sell and sell and sell, and the only real loser in all of this is actually the fans; who ironically are some of the same people who will defend Floyd no matter what.

Everyone who is actually a real fan of Boxing wants the best fights to be made. And if you are a real fan (with your head screwed on of course), then you know Floyd is a direct proponent against this.

^ A lot of fan talk going on in this post!

No top-paid fighter seeks the best talent. None.

If you're referring to me, then that is not really the case.

I did have an older account that I lost the password to and so created this recently. Even still with the older account, I must of accumulated 100 posts in about 3 years of existing and so I wouldn't say I really class as an alt account.

Call me modest if you will :tong.
