Because before Froch crushed him, Bute was a highly rated, highly ranked world champion KO artist with good speed, power and some skill. He was the obvious fight for Ward but Ward didn't seem interested. He was the last guy to beat for Ward to clean out the division. Ward was stupid to let Froch beat him and get the credit. Same way Floyd should have beat Pac when he was more highly rated and got a lot of credit.
What does color/race have to do with anything??? What is this the early 1900's when the media were trying to find fighters that could beat Jack Johnson? Lay off the color card champ. And by you saying Floyd is ducking Golovkin, I'm assuming you have very little understanding on how they're both on 2 completely different networks and the chances of that fight happening are next to nil. GGG should try his luck against Ward, that fight should be easier to make because they're both on the same network. And for whatever it's worth, I think FLoyd could beat any of the MW's at 160, I wouldn't favor him greatly against them, but his footspeed, handspeed and counterpunching ability makes me think he'd be the favorite against any MW fighter. That being said, he doesn't even fight at the full 154 lb limit so there's no point in thinking he has to fight at MW for any reason. He's the true champ at 147 and 154 at the same time, he doesn't have to do anything besides continue being dominant at those respective weight classes.
