i think he picked maidana because with all the **** happening in GBP this is the only fight he can make for september....

 

people said it would be a **** fight first time around too. it exceeded all expectations as far as competitiveness and you know it! haven't seen floyd get landed on like that since castillo 1. if floyd continues to slip this fight and maidana gets even more motivated thanks to his success in their first fight it will be interesting. on the other hand if floyd gets super motivated to look better in this fight maidana is gonna get schooled.

as far as people saying this fight will be like the 2nd castillo fight, no because supposedly floyd hurt his hand in the first fight, it will actually be the opposite scenario if maidana gets to use his gloves.

i'm not gonna say maidana is gonna for sure win but i would not be surprised one bit if maidana pulls out the victory.

 

The only thing is a stricter ref which is likely would put the fight in mayweather favour even more an I think he won it last time so it could just be basically the same but with another round or two in mayweathers favour

 

a stricter ref would also let maidana fight out of clinches.

 

I don't mind this fight. It will be interesting to see what adjustments are made.

The same posters who felt May weather won 8 - 4 and even fought in a way just to make the fight entertaining are now claiming it is a great fight.

 

I thought he won the fight 8-4 and thought he fought a dumb fight. He didn't try and make it exciting just fought dumb. I also think the cut bothered him as well.
