The majority of that interview was actually a good read. I prefer when he is being interviewed and seems chilled...and he's not boasting and showing off.

He wasnt as annoying as he usually is but that was probably cause the guy interviewing him was kissing his ass from start to finish.

yeh it seems rather contrived doesn't it? like Jayz and Beyonce. a marriage of convenience. they even want to do a reality show about their "love." lol more fraud from the king of fraud.

miss jackson wasn't at any of his fights. they musta signed her to a deal in the last few months lol

boring article. writer was only asking easy questions that Mayweather wants to answer. Makes me think those were pre-reviewed questions that got approved by Floyd before an interview was granted. Then after the answers to those questions, the writer was like "you said it right", always validating Floyd's answer. Sounds like there is a gun pointing to the writer's head during the interview, or threats of violence should embarrassing questions be asked.

For example they only talked about the first negotiation, and the writer did not even bother to ask why Mayweather didn't take the fight still now that Pac has agreed to more testing in the second negotiation.

There is a slight revelation though that the cut-off date for the 1st negotiation was 14 days:

Floyd: "You know, for the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight, when we first tried to put the fight together .... Then, what they also wanted was two weeks prior to us fighting, two weeks before the fight, they didn't want to take the test at all."

This doesn't seem consistent with the impression at the time where Floyd allegedly offered 14 days and Pac refused. So I don't know which version of Floyd is telling the truth.

seemed like a set-up question and answer where floyd already rehearsed it. he was not even questioned why he all of a sudden went on vacation during the 2nd round of negotiations and why he has no urge to fight pac.

just an article for the joyboys to wank over.

good analysis Grimlocked. The interviewer tossed softballs for floyd. the interviewer is trading his integrity as a journalist in order to curry floyd's favor. it's a smart move, we all gonna read it. now we know floyd at least has ONE ally in the internet boxing media.

by saying iif it happens it happens, if it don't it don't, is not a definitive, this fight will get made eventually.

in other words: it will never happen. the knockout loss would kill all floyd's plans to be a sports/entertainment promoter and all future projects. floyd knows the KO loss to Pacquiao ends all.

How so? Did De la Hoya's promotional plans end when he was TKO'd by Pacquiao?

Now that you mentioned that, yes, I took a look at all the other fighthype.com articles and they all have a "Comments" section. This one doesn't. It must be one of the pre-conditions for Floyd to do the interview. They know how they will be torn to shreds if they allow people to comment on how they are going over and over on the drug testing when that is no longer an issue. The main issue is Floyd no longer has the urge and wants to stay in vacation while Pac is in the scene. Then when Pac focuses on the House of Congress, Floyd will suddenly come out of hiding.
