There is one other thing I like about Floyd. I think he makes a very good trainer. He's polite, patient and truthful when teaching. :think

Now I saw this video before ever watching any 24/7 cause I'm just a casual fan and watched none of the pre-fight hype until a year ago. Sadly, now there are more videos of him being ridiculous and immature.

His ego won't allow him to be a good trainer.

Besides, some of the things he can do requires exceptional athleticism that only a few individuals will ever have. What happens if his charges don't have that kind of athleticism?

If the video showed the real FLoyd, i don't think his ego will be a problem. His charges will probably consist of slick fighters, I don't see any problem.

I'm not so sure. Training and developing a fighter is a completely different skill altogether.

who are the really ATG fighters who made good trainers? (serious question, I don't know coz my knowledge of boxing history is ****)

I've always nursed the notion that the great fighters wouldn't make good trainers because of their ego and because of the expectations they would have of the fighters they train. I feel like if all the guys you are training are way way below you in terms of talent, it wouldn't make for a good training environment...

Whoa, Floyd sounds very very humble. I Really think he is a good guy beneath his persona.

He always comes across as being humble when hes talking to someone who's kissing his ass.

But anyway its a good video.

    ATG fighters, good trainers...:think

let's see archie moore was apparently a pretty good trainer, foreman seemed to think a lot of him

eddie mustafa muhammad (admittedly an all time good) makes a solid trainer

pernell whitaker is training some cats now with mixed success

buddy mcgirt...****, bad example (have some water baby!)

you know as i think about it i'm really struggling to think of great fighters who became successful trainers
