I disagree with this whole "Floyd was much better at 130" thing.

At 130 Floyd was a lot more aggressive, and used his speed and power to win all of his fight. However, these days Floyd is far more skilled. His defense has developed a lot, its as good as a prime James Toney's! His straight right hand is now an amazing weapon, that he can land far into his 30s even after his hand speed goes! His sense of timing, and his ability to fight outside of any kind of rhythm, and decipher his opponents rhythm is the best in the business by far. He's gotten a lot better. AND, as we have seen in his last fight (round 8 is a good example, or how agressive he was during the middle rounds (6-10) of the Judah fight), Floyd is still fast enough that when he chooses to be aggressive, he's unstoppable!

Floyd's difference in style now is more because he's facing much bigger stronger guys than he used to. Given the right opponents, I think he could be every bit as scarily good as he was at 130!

Cotto for example, may even be that opponent, who knows? To make Floyd fight more cautiously you have to have something to give him a reason to do that. Cotto is smaller than Floyd, and we dont even know how his speed and power willl compare to Floyd's until they get in the ring. I doubt it, but its POSSIBLE Floyd could just roll right over him!

That's what FIGHTS agianst the TOP GUY's accomplishes, finding out.

BTW, PBF wont roll over Cotto. Cotto has fought top 47 opponents and proved he can box, punch, and has the speed necessary.

how was floyd #1 at 130 when he hasn't done much at that division, but he would have become #1 if he stayed there and clean it out

God would have proven it, not avoided the toughest match:D

Hell even RJJ faced Hop's and toney early.

C money, you have to be fair here. Nobody just fought everybody. He missed Casa and Popo. And WE A<L KNOW HE WOULD OF KICKED POPOS ass. They both were southies and would of been tough matchups, but I dont think they were too eager to get in there with Floyd. Casamayor was dropped a few times by Corrales. Based on what I seen. Casamayor gets outpointed fairly handily but not dominated by Floyd.

    Not true my friend:nono

PBf didnt want to fight Casa who was clearly in the top 2. There wasnt as much public attention about it, but TEAM MAYWEATHER could have made it had they wanted.

Hell, they had to go back down for corrales after Floyd thought better of moving to 35 so soon after someone whooped him in the gym:D

As for Freitas? Of course he would have lost to floyd but I believe in PROOF over Specualtion and it would have been UNIFYING without doubt.

The difference is that Mayweather actually achieved a lot at 130. Jones looked great but was there only for two years. Mayweather was Champ for four years and had a lot of title defenses.

You're a moron. Floyd whoops Casamayor ass just liked he whooped Corrales ass. Besides losing to 2 fighters Floyd beat, Floyd had the longer reach and was the bigger and faster fighter. You are talking about a Floyd Mayweather who beats up big guys in 147 yet you think he loses at 130 to anyone? Uhh get off the crack its not healthy.

Tough to compare him to guys of the past who either were champs at 130 or fought at that range (Chocolate, Saddler, Armstrong, etc..).

I'd like Mayweather to win decisions over Arguello and Nelson but make him a slight underdog against both Chavez and Camacho.
