    If Floyd Mayweather were to dominate Hatton to a late round stoppage and then retire for good, where would he stand as an ATG?

    Top 100? top 50? top 10? top 5? top? :scaredas:

    Your thoughts?

    Dominate? Top 50.....Two more great wins signifigantly boosts him (Cotto and either Williams or Cintron, or Mosley if the Cotto fight is close) because in a P4P or ATG list talent has to be taken into account. His resume is lacking (despite his numerical accomplishments) enough right now that I have him around the Top 75, and his talent keeps him there.

    definatly top 50 better than trinidad oscar and mosley in resume and achievements...thats quite alot head 2 head he is tough to beat and few would win in a mythical match up and in that they other person has to have a ton of physical strenghts that only certain men poses.

    If he beats ricky hatton, his resume surpasses whitakers with ease. Hatton, de la hoya, castillo twice, corrales, judah and genaro hernandez is better than whitaker's resume.

    Why not? Pernell only beat like 3 p4p fighters in his whole career.

    And this would be PBF's 2nd, since the only ranked P4P fighter he has even fought to this point is Corrales. Not to mention, Ring wasn't doing P4P early in Whitaker's career.

    It would be great but his record wouldnt surpass whitaker. Whitaker beat 15 world champions won titles at 4 weights.Clean up at 135 and was lineal champat 147 for 4-5 years. Should have got the nod against Chavez, and beat Azumah Nelson(135), Greg Haugen(135), Ramirez,(135)Rafael Pineda(140) Buddy McGirt,(147) Vazquez(154).

    Mayweather IMO would be top 30 all-time. Based on Talent. Undefeated Record. Titles at 5 weight classes, lineal at 3 and beat the lineal champ at 140 while reigning at 147(Hatton).Arguably the greatest junior-lightweight ever He'd surely proven he was the best fighter of the era. He'd rank above Trinidad, ODLH, and Mosley all-time(IMO he already does)

    O please, he lost to oscar man. Floyd mayweathers resume IMO would become superior if he beats hatton cuz i consider hatton a better fighter than buddy mcgirt.

    Corrales was ranked in the top 5 P4P according to The Ring when Floyd beat him. Hatton would be the 2nd top 10 P4P guy that Floyd beats should PBF win in December.

    Whitaker's wins over P4Pers are Nelson, Chavez (dubious draw), and McGirt.

    Nelson and Chavez were moving up in weight, but then again so is Hatton.

    Hatton = natural 140er, mayweather = natural 130er.

    mayweather was an adult when he fought at 130, hes fought at 130-135 for the vast majority of his career. Like i said before after he beats hatton, he will clearly have more top level wins than whitaker. Mayweather has already beaten like 5 or 6 great/ very good fighters, when hatton gets added, whitaker steps aside. When floyd beats the winner of cotto/mosley, he will surpass roberto duran too..
