People focus so much on Canelo's footwork and not being good at cutting off the ring, his defense was on point vs Cotto I felt alot of shots were slipped or blocked by Alvarez. A fight being competitive and it being close don't
always go hand and hand, Cotto was competitive but wasn't all that close.

Lol at the Mexican bias here. "Canelo was holding his own against Floyd", no he wasn't, at no point in the fight. Cotto's performance vs Floyd was vastly superior. The rounds were close even though Floyd won the majority. "Canelo fought a better version of Cotto than Floyd", lmao. **** off.

That says that GBP made sure to pay off the judges pretty good. Even the Mexican commentators had Cotto winning.

It means Oscar learned his lesson and shelled out the proper amount of payoff money this time around.

Cotto couldnt do anything.. canelo was too sharp and too big for Cotto.. 9-3 Canelo over Cotto is a great card.

Mayweather beat Cotto more clearly than Canelo did, although he took more lumps on the process, bloody nose and all. Mayweather won his rounds more clearly and won one more round (9) than Canelo did on my card (eight).

But that's Mayweather, who cares? Mayweather is an ATG. I don't expect nearly as much from Canelo, a good solid fighter. He's made some improvements as he's become more defensively responsible, mixing offense and defense better than before.

Mayweather lost a combined 5 rounds out of 24 against both of them.

Soooo, I don't know, somebody who hasn't been a boxing fan very long would try to push their agenda in such a backfiring way.

What? Cotto won 4 rounds against Floyd, Cotto won 3 rounds against Canelo. Theres no backfiring what so ever.. The whole point of my thread was for people to finally give Canelo the credit he deserves. He's a very good fighter, and the next superstar now that Floyds semi retired. He's ready for GGG imo whether he beats him or not is another story in itself..
