Floyd beat Cotto 8-4, Canelo beat Cotto 9-3 what does that say about Canelo?

Yeah. I meant 4, my bad. Lol obviously Cotto didn't win 8 rounds off Floyd or else the landscape of boxing would look much different today...

Canelo schooled Cotto pretty much much on the same level(not same manner) as FLoyd schooled Canelo.
Anyone who gave Cotto more than 4 rounds is full of ****.

It says a lot about Floyd's punching power, Cotto wasn't afraid of Mayweather's power and was up in his grill the as much as he could in the fight and almost paid big for it in the last round, he couldn't do that with Canelo because he'd pay dearly for it, because Canelo has more power than Floyd. So Cotto's effective aggression won him 4 rounds and his ineffective aggression caused a few other close ones, whereas he wasn't very aggressive at all against Alvarez because of his fear of being Mandingo'd.

It tells me is Canelo went the distance with somebody Pacquiao battered years ago.

It also tells me Canelo is very good against smaller men but we knew this anyway.

    No it was not.
Mayweather wanted 147, eventually Alvarez got tired of Floyd's BS and they agreed to 152.
