But when Cotto landed something he didn't follow through with anything ... it was like he was hitting Margarito just to get him off of him.

Floyd was the agressor in all of his 140 lb. fights, and also in his first two WW fights. If he fought Cotto, he would be the aggressor at times. He's bigger than Cotto and maybe stronger as well. Cotto will start retreating after eating some shots.

Floyd has been standing tall more often than not ... every time he's moved up in weight he's became more and more aggressive.

He used to be criticized for running but since the Castillo fight he's been fighting toe to toe with guys.

I don't see Mayweather as any sort of aggressor at 147 anyway. He might step in with punches now and again, but overall Cotto will be coming forward in this matchup.

I don't see how anybody sees it otherwise :think

couple of thing missing hear ..
1 cotto didn't commit to the body at all , as you could tell from the first round he wasn't adjusting boxing style at all , he was moving way too he didn't get comfortable enough.

Here is where cotto and floyd differ , I can honestly say Floyd trains allot harder then Cotto does and is lot smarter with his movement , he's also a lot stronger then you guys give him credit for , this fight would go the distance , I still give floyd the edge by point but it also a fight in which Margarito can win by point also just by being the busy fighter.

dont let what margarito did to cotto confuse you

floyd can box ... cotto cant ( as well as floyd )
floyd can control distance ... cotto cant
floyd can handle the prssure ... cotto cant
floyd WONT!! trade punches with marg ... cotto did
floyd is a pro @ fighting on the move ... cotto's not strong in that style
floyd defense under pressure is insnae ( catches punches & counters ) ... cotto had no defense under pressure but stick and move..

imo floyd walks threw the park on margarito a clear ud

cotto is still floyds toughest comp

Floyd doesn't have to be set or in rhythm to throw punches ...

He has generally got on his bike a bit early before counter attacking later - notably in the Hatton fight when Ricky lost his rag with Cortez.

Also in the DLH fight - if DLH wouldn't have had such a good chin I wouldn't have ruled out Floyd stopping him, he rocked him on the odd occasion.

Floyd is comfortable in every part of the ring ... if you ever seen him train ... he trains to be able to fight in any part of the ring ... he fights effectively on the ropes, in the corner, or in the middle of the ring.

This is all goofy ****. Floyd is retired. And good thing, because he was boring.

Floyd doesn't think Margarito is a big enough name? Bull****. He was offered $8 million to fight Marg TWO years ago and he ran away. Floyd has always hid behind MONEY, saying it's the real reason he fights or doesn't fight.

Don't believe it. He was scared of Margarito then, and he better be scared now. The best thing "money" can do is stay retired. Margarito hits and hurts everywhere he lands. He doesn't need a chin sticking up to throw -- he hit your arms, elbows, shoulders, sides, forearms and head.

Pretty boy don't want none of that. Believe it.

We get it, you love Floyd. It's all an irrelevance, because Floyd hasn't got it in him to get in the ring with either and backup the big words of his fans.

DLH does have a good chin ... I think that FLoyd's power is very underrated and his hand issues contributed to him not knocking guys out.

No one has ever beat Margarito easily and Floyd won't either. Antonio is old school he is going to bang on every part of your body until you don't want to fight anymore. I really don't think that Floyd wants to comeback to face someone as rough as that, someone that would take a lot of effort to beat. Someone that has a very real chance of knocking Floyd's ass out!

Plus, if Floyd wanted this fight he could have had this fight. It had been on the table for him for years. Floyd knew that a fight with Margarito would be tough and that is why he never took it!

That is his biggest plus IMO.

Against Castillo, DLH and Hatton he was often under pressure but was able to potshot off the back foot and get out of range - especially in the latter half of the fights.

He wouldn't stand and trade with either Cotto or Margarito - Williams didn't with Margo and took a deserved UD. Mayweather would do the same, only not let Tony back in late.

I hope people now give Floyd credit that he is due.

    Again, irrelevant.

PBF does not think he can beat AM, which is why he never made the fight. He tried to hide behind "Margo's a nobody," and that was blown up for good last night.

This is why PBF retired, like I said. He knew this was going to happen and he was trying to fool morons who don't know better that Margo didn't retire him.

Margo retired PBF. If PBF wants to make the fight, he can sign the contract tomorrow.

He won't. He's a ***** and he never wanted anything to do with Margo.

The charade is finally, permanently over.

Floyd was, and is, scared to death of Margo.

Shout it from the rooftops. Punk Biotch was retired by Antonio Margarito, and he ain't coming back to get none.
