PBF retired so that someone can build themselves up to a big money making fight.

Now if it appears that Margarito v Cotto does good numbers, they both go their seperate ways ... and Margarito happens to fight another champion or have another big fight and wins then it would appear that he would be the man to fight ... in the span of a year he managed to win two world championships.

He would have to gain the ring magazine welterweight title as well ...

Mayweather would have to be untouchable for 12 rounds of pressure.

yeah but margarito punches ARE SO WIDE!!!! the pressure is irrelevant if margarito is throwing the punches from his ears (cocking his arms back that far to throw them)

people need to rewatch the fight again i think

Everyone has a cut off point. Everyone has a point where they have to yeild/show respect.

It WILL come down to who gains the other guy's respect. That is what it always comes down to.

all that **** you just wrote doesn't win you a fight ... just because he doesn't keep coming doesn't mean that Floyd's going to stop punching. He's not an awesome pressure fighter ... Margarito comes forward and throws winging punches ... I can tell you this Jesus Chavez probably pressures better than Margarito and had put the most effective pressure that Floyd has seen and Chavez' corner threw in the towel.

Just because Margarito keeps coming and doesn't respect Floyd doesn't mean that his corner isn't going to see him walking into **** ... that doesn't mean the ref or the judges doesn't see that **** ... it doesn't mean that Margarito won't cut ... it doesn't mean that Margarito will win ... all it means is that he won't stop coming ... but that doesn't make him unbeatable.

Mayweather doesn't have the balls to go for greatness anymore. He already believes himself to be the best ever. Complacency isn't good when your opponent is hungry, strong, and relentless. Floyd would not take it to Margarito as Cotto did at times. Not to mention Floyd's hands will crack before Margarito's chin would. So you'd have Floyd hitting Margarito LESS, and not as hard as Cotto could. Mayweather would be on his bike MUCH worse then Cotto backpeddled last night. If Floyd played safe against Baldomir, when would he have the balls to take it to Margarito?

Expect Mayweather to stay retired guys. He knew a tough fight years ago when he ducked Margarito.

Margs chin is granite and that has been proven. Cotto abandoned the body game like a red headed step child. Margs was putting money in the bank as he landed those body blows. Anyone could see that IF you actually watched the fight. Cotto won rounds, but it was very evident who was getting the worst punishment. PBF vs Cotto is no longer valid. The only fight for PBF now is if Margs makes a SERIOUS name for himself over the next yr.

Jesus Chavez? Margarito makes that man look like a little boy. I really hope you've thought that through, but you probably haven't.

You have no idea what kind of pressure Margarito brings. Infact you must have been watching last night's fight with blinders on. NOBODY has gotten out of the ring with that man without looking like the loser. Williams, Santos, Clottey, Cintron and Cotto. Little Floyd knew what was coming his way.
