As far as the best goes I like Devon and I think he is a future lb 4 lb fighter...but I think there are a few more fighters who are a tad along the way more than him that deserve the torch a bit more...

I hope PBF is not saying that beating Urango is all it takes to pick up his torch.

Bradley is as legit as Alexander, if not more.

he's not saying that he is at the top of his game now. what he was doing was giving the guy credit for having a great performance his first time on a relatively big stage and if you saw the fight you cant help but agree with him about alexander being one of if not the best up and coming fighters.

What's so bad a bout this article? He's saying Devon has the goods and he thinks he's the future P4P champ. He might be right. Devon IMO is already the best at 140.

Giving him credit and saying you are going to pick up my torch are 2 different things. Let us be honest here. Devon is an awesome talent. Other than Urango he is not exactly proven enough to pick up PBF's jock strap, let alone his torch.

I like him. I like him a lot. I saw the fight. While not flawless (got caught with too many right hooks), he showed tremendous balance of jab, footwork, counter punching, speed and power.

Alexander MIGHT be great someday. Bradley, IMO, is better and has a decent edge, resume wise.

Or is Bradley not "slick African-American" enough for PBF???

    (joking, joking).

It is good how people hate and dislike Floyd. Keeps people talking about boxing and it's future. When we look back at EVERY great fighter, there were people they did not face and will be deemed "ducking". Ali, Tyson, Hoyfield, Sugar Ray Leonard...etc. Sometimes boxers are smart enough to know when and who to fight for legacy in addition to financial purposes. No matter the case, I hope Alexander does an awesome job and carries the sport for years to come. Really would rather have the Heavyweights do some damage. I would be excited about that.
