    Perfect comparison.

Back in 2004, I believe there was a verbal agreement for Pacquiao to face Guzman with Team Pacquiao pulling out. I remember reading an article with Guzman's manager being pissed and was trashing Pacquiao. Joan followed Pacquiao to 130 from 122 to try and get a fight, but was ignored. He even went to his post-fight press conferences and called him out. I can remember when Arum said Pacquiao was going to face the winner of the Guzman-Soto fight. Guzman wins easily and afterward Arum changes his mind and says Guzman is a boring fighter and no one would want to see it. I can remember Roach saying that Guzman was the toughest fight for Pacquiao on another website before the 2nd Barrera fight. It doesn't look like Pacquiao will ever fight Maywather if he wouldn't fight Guzman. It's obvious that Pacquiao avoids slick defensive boxers, because their styles would cause tons of problems for him. Manny fights guys that are left hand dependent and just stand in front of him so he can tee off on them.

#1....Guzzy isn't that good for anyone to avoid him other than B or C level fighters. #2 Floyd was the one that killed the fight ...NOT Manny. Floyd just did a good job stepping away and transfering the blame on Manny with out any proof or validity to his accusations.

Unfortunately It was Floyd who conviently found a way out of facing Manny. He was able to shed the "blame" by coming up with rumors to put into question Manny's character and based on those false alleagations the demand for the olympic style testing came about.

Without any facts, validity or substance Floyd and his daddy pushed these rumors through the media and ultimately this was the obstacle and nail in the coffin for this fight.

Floyd is the one who said he'd beat PAC any day of any week and that PAC would be his easiest and most fruitful payday. That PAC would never be able to be on his level and that PAC wasn't ****!

Yet with all that confidence and swagger coming from his mouth...his actions and character completely contradicted one anther! How is Floyd who KNOWs that Manny is next in line to face him and who knows that the pot is gonna award each fighter upwards of $30 to $40 Million willing to put in place an obstacle by coming up with rumors that have no foundation and then request unprecidented demands?

After all PAC "ain't ****" and Floyd has said time and time agian that he'd beat any version of PAC? Instead of taking the fight 50/50 where MOST felt would be the main cause of the fight not happening, Floyd decided to start these rumors and contradict the stance he set so firm on before knowing that a fight with Manny was immenent.

    Floyd obviously wasn't that confident...:smoke

Pacquiao could have fought Guzman on those occasions and there were no reasons to pull out of those fights except ducking. There were people including myself that felt Guzman would have beaten Manny. Before the 2nd Barrera fight, Roach said Guzman would be Pacquiao's toughest fight, so obviously they felt that he was credible. Are you disagreeing with Roach?

Pacquiao refusing random blood testing and walking away from the fight is why the fight didn't happen. Would you turn down 40 million dollars, make excuses that made absolutely no sense, and ruin your legacy and reputation, because you didn't want to take Olympic style testing if you were clean?

Pacquiao wasn't too confident that he could win without his special substances.

You say the allegations were false, but how do you know Pacquiao is clean?

How many fighters do you know that have moved up several weight classes and bullied and physically dominated much bigger fighters? How many fighters do you know that have moved up several weight classes and not lost any speed and maybe even gained power? I think that's all the proof that they needed.

PEDs don't help boxers though. All they can do is help with some things like speed, strength, stamina, and maybe help you recover from injuries faster. So what fighters would be able to train harder and for longer periods of time while using PEDs. Boxers wouldn't benefit from these positive attributes would they?
