Are you kidding me? Not with the games Arum plays. If floyd didnt book MGM, Arum would have went and booked it himself for JMM 4. Arum already mentioned that fight on that date. Also Arum is angling for Cotto 2 even though there is no public demand for it but it would shut Floyd out of an opponent.

You don't spring a superfight "announcement" off of a jail sentence continuation request date. Doesn't work like that, especially when you're dealing with someone of Pacquiao's stature.

If Floyd wanted to fight Pacquiao on May 5th, he probably should have called Pacquiao in the past -- as in BEFORE Team Pac found out about the continuation request on the day of the appearance before the judge.

Bad planning, and worse PR. "Hey, I'm going to the pokey...no, I'm making a superfight after the judge delays the time when I'm going to the pokey. And I'm telling my potential opponent I'm not going to the pokey today. Yay!"
