Floyd can't afford to NOT take this fight.

  1. Yes I agree.

Once you get a taste of the high life; it can be hard to let go.

It's been the downfall of many a man.

the advance if it ever happened was to pay the irs 8 he made 15mill how can he owe both?
he no longer needed to pay the irs.
he needed to pay golden boy. so unless he said f you oscar and didnt split half his check he is no longer in debt.

    your logic is flawed:hi:
and your mother should have drunk a gallon of antifreeze when she was 3 months pregnant with you

SOURCE?? LAST I CHECKED THE IRS SAID FLOYD HAD A 0 DEBT WITH THEM...:deal

  8. "With the Internal Revenue Service poised to take the money from his $10 million purse for his fight Saturday, Floyd Mayweather Jr. agreed to pay $5.6 million in back taxes. Mayweather's tax lawyer, Jeffrey Morse, said Mayweather had met all his tax obligations."

Does that pay off everything? It doesn't say. If he owed more than $5.6m, then he still has a debt. PLUS he will have to pay taxes on the $10m he earned.

  10. He probably walked away with $1 or $2 million at most from that fight.

    mmm 10-15 million minus 5.7 doesn't = 1 or 2 million...

  12. I have no reason to doubt you. I'm just asking :good

"Morse said he expected the IRS to release a $6.17 million lien filed with the county recorder's office in Las Vegas in October last year."

  13. I was going off the $10m figure someone quoted.

He would pay, what, 20% taxes on that? (Someone correct me if I'm wrong).

So that's now down to $8m.

Then he had to pay $5.6m, according to that article, in back taxes.

    Now we're down to $2.4m.

Plus the associated expenses, which are actually tax write-offs, bringing it down even further.

If he did earn $15m then he easily walks away with more than $6m.

Floyd and Ellerbe also went on the record to say that they never owed the I.R.S any money! Which one is it? Did they, and paid them. Or did they never owe them anything? Hmmmmmmm:huh
