Marquez lost to Floyd because the latter is too huge.
Marquez fits to Manny's style, and yes he can always bring a tough fight for Pacquiao, but JMM can not bring his power or eat some up there in WW as Manny does. Therefore, Juan Manuel Marquez can't be a precise barometer for the Floyd-Pac match up. With Pac's win over Cotto, it is pretty sure confusion came in to Mayweather's camp on what Pacquiao can do now.

 

Nope, I disagree. Mayweather will box pacs ears off, this much is certain. The only unsure thing about this fight is wether Floyd can stop him. Either way this is another easy win for Mayweather, he is on another planet skillwise.

 

He outboxed JMM but he did not hurt him. I don't think he can hurt Pac. Pac hasn't fought a fighter in the caliber of Cotto.

 

This fight won't be easy for both. I'm going against the grain here and pick Pac to win this. He has the tools to beat Floyd. Admittedly Floyd also has the tools to beat Pac, so I don't have a problem with anybody picking Floyd.

Although I do have a problem with people saying that either will school/destroy the other.

You can't argue against that even if your life depended on it.

 

- He can't use a lead left hook on a southpaw (his best weapon).

WTF ? Left hook is the best weapon against southpaws. Add straight right hand which is as good weapon

- Sure he can outbox him, but can he do it for 12 rounds and not get tagged or hurt? No.

Ofkoz yes, why not ? His stamina and reflexess are unmatched.

- Manny's style will give Floyd problems.

His activity could give him some problems but not his style. Pacquiao will be easy target for Floyd.

- Pac gets better and better and more unpredictable with each fight.

He gets bigger and stronger but he was much slower against Cotto than his previous fights. He is still very predictable. Just too quick for other opponents, not too quick for Floyd.

- Again, Floyd hasn't fought anyone like Manny.

Manny hasnt fought anybody like Floyd.

- Floyd is guy who's never ever been taken into deep waters. He's never had to show any real guts or character.

Floyd is too smart for that. Pacquiao wont take him there neither. Pacquiao has been taken there because he makes mistakes. Floyd doesnt.

 

Good post, as long as manny comes in shape I see him bringing it onto floyd. If floyd decides to keep running which he will, I see pac standing like the hell are you here to fight or dance? LoL
